Last week in Bristol, late race contact put a damper on the hopes for a good run for Dakoda Armstrong. This week, the No. 43 WinField team heads to Road America looking to end a tough month with a good finish. Last year, during his first start at the track, Armstrong had a promising day go sour when a rain assisted off-track excursion heavily damaged the WinField Ford. Historically, RPM has had strong runs at Road America in each of its three starts, before rain or accidents changed the course of their race.

The NASCAR XFINITY Series travels to 4.05-mile Road America this weekend for the third and final road course race of the 2015 schedule. Saturday’s race marks Bubba Wallace’s first start at the track.

Roush Fenway Racing’s Chris Buescher makes his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Road America on Saturday. Last season, Buescher started ninth with a fast Ford Mustang, before rain and a pit road speeding penalty slowed him down, ultimately finishing 18th.

Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR XFINITY Series at Road America ... In 11 Series starts at the 14-turn road course, RCR has completed 565 laps of the 579 (97.6 percent) they have competed. The Welcome, N.C., organization visited Victory Lane last year with Brendan Gaughan, earning their first win at Road America. RCR has accumulated two top-five and three top-10 finishes, led nine laps and averages a starting position of 14.2 and finishing position of 14.8.

Elliott Sadler will make his fifth NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at the Road America this Saturday afternoon in Elkhart Lake, WI. In Sadler’s previous four starts at Road America, he’s recorded one top-five and three top-10 finishes. Last year at the 14-turn road course, Sadler started 11th and finished ninth.

Ty Dillon finished fourth and was the highest finishing Richard Childress Racing driver in the Bristol 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Brian Scott finished sixth, Brendan Gaughan 10th and Brandon Jones 13th.

A bold pit call by crew chief Scott Graves had Roush Fenway Racing’s Chris Buescher in contention for the win Friday night at Bristol Motor Speedway. Buescher restarted in the lead in his No. 60 Roush Performance Mustang for the green-white-checker finish, but ultimately ran out of fuel, finishing 11th.

Camry driver Kyle Busch was victorious in Friday night’s NASCAR XFINTY Series (NXS) race at Tennessee’s Bristol Motor Speedway.

CHRIS BUESCHER – No. 60 Roush Performance Products Ford Mustang – IF IT WOULD HAVE GONE GREEN THE REST OF THE WAY COULD YOU HAVE MADE IT ON FUEL? “Oh yeah, but it didn’t. It’s unfortunate. I’m really upset. It was a really good day for our Roush Performance Tindol Ford Mustang."

Standing by his No. 60 Ford Mustang post-race, Chris Buescher was visibly upset and reasonably so. Scott Graves had made the perfect call to get Buescher out front, but just a hiccup on the last restart prevented Buescher from visiting victory lane. Instead, he crossed the line in 11th.
