TriStar Motorsports EnjoyIllinois.com 300 Pre-Race Report Chicagoland Speedway

This weekend we move from the "Granite State" to the "Windy City" of Chicago, Illinois for the Enjoyillinois.com 300 at Chicagoland Speedway. This 1.5-mile, D-shaped oval speedway is the largest sports facility in Illinois. The NASCAR Nationwide Series will race at the speedway, under the lights on Saturday, July 19th.

McClure’s Looking for Solid Effort at Chicagoland

Saturday night's 300-mile race atChicagoland Speedway will mark Eric McClure's 242nd-career Nationwide Series start and his 11th at the 1.5-mile speedway. In 10 starts, all of which have come under the Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® banner, McClure has completed 91.5% of the total laps run and has an average finish of 27.8. His track-best finish of 18th came in 2011.

Team Penske EnjoyIllinois.com 300 Race Preview

Ryan Blaney has made six previous NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) starts with Team Penske in the 2014 season. In his six starts, Blaney has scored top-10 finishes in five races including a fourth-place result at Bristol and a fifith-place effort at Kentucky. This season, Blaney had led a total of 82 laps, including 80 laps at Iowa Speedway, where he finished a season-best second place.

RAB Racing No. 99 Rheem Toyota Camry NNS Preview: Chicagoland Speedway

.James Buescher comes to Chicagoland Speedway with one previous NASCAR Nationwide Series start under his belt. That start came in 2012 when Buescher secured a 15th-place finish. Buescher has five NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the 1.5-mile oval. In those five starts Buescher has one win, and two-top-10s.

Buescher Chicago Advance – Ford EcoBoost

Starting from the ninth-spot the No.60 EcoBoost Ford Mustang fell a lap down early, but benefited from the “lucky dog” when a caution came out on lap 106. This yellow would mark the second and final stop of the day for Buescher as the team filled their machine with as much fuel as possible. After another caution on lap 139, Crew Chief Scott Graves instructed the Roush Fenway Driver to stay out in an attempt to make it to the end on fuel.

Trevor Bayne’s Chicago Advance

Trevor Bayne makes his seventh NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday evening. In six previous starts at the 1.5-mile oval, Bayne has recorded one top-five and two top-10 finishes.

Roush Fenway Racing rookie Ryan Reed visits Chicagoland Speedway for the first time in his NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) career. This is the first of two races at the 1.5-mile track this season.
