TriStar Motorsports Lilly Diabetes 250 Pre-Race Report Indianapolis Motor Speedway

TriStar Motorsports is in Indianapolis, IN this week leading up to the Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 26th. This historic 2.5-mile rectangular, oval speedway is home to numerous historic races.

Chris Buescher – Indianapolis Advance

In his first start at Chicagoland Speedway, Buescher qualified his EcoBoost Mustang in 13th. The rookie driver had a strong car, running inside the top-10 for much of the race. Ultimately, Buescher was able to score an eighth-place finish, his seventh top-10 of the 2014 season.

Ryan Reed – Indianapolis Advance

“I’m so excited for this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Not only is this one of the most historic race tracks in the country, this is also a home race for Lilly Diabetes. This is such a big race for this whole Drive to Stop Diabetes team, so I know they’ll give me a Mustang that’s capable of racing up front. We are going to have a ton of guests from the American Diabetes Association and Lilly Diabetes, so I’m hoping we can put on a good show for them in the Lilly Diabetes 250.”

Action-Packed Indy Weekend for Roush Fenway Racing’s Ryan Reed

This weekend the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) and Roush Fenway Racing’s Ryan Reed travel to Indianapolis Motor Speedway to take part in the Lilly Diabetes 250. Saturday’s race not only marks Reed’s first start at the historic track, but a visit to the home track of presenting sponsor, Lilly Diabetes.

McClure Looking for Improved Results at IMS

Just as Saturday's Lilly Diabetes 250 will mark the third annual Nationwide Series event at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, it also marks Eric McClure's third start at the2.5-mile oval. Since racing at IMS, the Virginia driver has completed 97.5% of the total laps attempted and has an average finish of 27.5. He finished the inaugural event in 2012 in the 24th position, but was plagued with over-heating issues last year that relegated him to a 31st-place finish.

Tweaker Energy Shot will be Back on Board Mike Bliss’s No. 19 Camry at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Mike Bliss and Tweaker Energy Shot will reunite this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Tweaker Energy Shot, along with Circle K, will serve as primary sponsor on the No. 19 TriStar Motorsports Camry. This Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series race will be Bliss' third start, his second with Tweaker Energy Shot, at the famed 2.5-mile oval speedway.

Trevor Bayne’s Indianapolis Advance

Trevor Bayne makes his second NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon. Bayne started third and finished 16th in this event last season.
