Landon Cassill scored his best finish of the Nationwide Series season Saturday, roaring to an eighth-place run in the Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Jeffrey Earnhardt sliced through traffic in the closing laps and came home 16th Saturday in a wild Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Ty Dillon started seventh as the top Richard Childress Racing qualifier for the Aaron's 312 at Talladega Superspeedway; Brian Scott qualified 10th and Brendan Gaughan 11th.

“It was wild, that’s for sure. It was just a matter of holding on to what we had at that point. I didn’t want to do anything crazy. Regan Smith pushed me great right there at the end. That’s about all you can ask for because I’m still very new to this speedway racing, so to be able to pull off a second is really cool to me.

Less than a week after turning 39 years old, Elliott Sadler gave himself a long-awaited birthday present by winning at Talladega Superspeedway for the first time in his career. Sadler outraced Chris Buescher over the final three laps and led a tight pack of 16 cars across the finish line to win the Aaron’s 312 NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday.

Elliott Sadler crossed the finish line first in Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Talladega Superspeedway to earn his first win in a Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) Toyota Camry and his first career victory at the 2.66-mile Alabama superspeedway.

For the first time since 2012 and the first time in a Joe Gibbs Racing car, Elliott Sadler was victorious in the Nationwide Series as he won the Aaron's 312 at Talladega Superspeedway.

James Buescher and the Rheem team came into the second restrictor-plate race of the season looking to redeem themselves after Daytona. While leading the charge from the high lane, Buescher was making a bid for the lead when he received a bump on his left-rear quarter panel.

In the final moments of the third round of qualifying, the Joe Gibbs Racing cars got lined up and were able to get a good run off of the pack in front of them, allowing them to take the top three spots in Aaron’s 312 qualifying at Talladega Superspeedway. In the end, the middle car of the three-car pack – Sam Hornish Jr. – scoring his sixth career Coor’s Light pole award in his first start this season.
