When Chase Elliott took the NASCAR Nationwide Series checkered flag at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this month, he joined fellow rising star Kyle Larson in the 2014 win column.

Following back-to-back wins in the Nationwide Series, discussions surrounding Chase Elliott have been about when he should move to the Sprint Cup Series.Some have said that he will be in Sprint Cup next year, while others have said that he should wait till 2016.

Last fall, Brian Scott had the dominant car and looked to be on his way to his first career Nationwide Series win. Then an unexpected caution came out. Perdue Foods will be riding along with Jeffrey Earnhardt when he challenges Richmond International Raceway in Friday’s ToyotaCare 250 Nationwide Series race. JD Motorsports with Gary Keller announced the Perdue sponsorship Tuesday. The partnership renews a very special relationship for Perdue, which once worked with and sponsored Dale Earnhardt Sr., Jeffrey’s grandfather and one of NASCAR’s all-time greatest drivers.

Austin Theriault will make his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut this season, as JR Motorsports has signed him to drive three races in the No. 5 Chevrolet.
