Darlington Raceway is an integral part of NASCAR history. Many of those who have conquered the Lady in Black went on to become legends of the sport including Bill Elliott.

Chase Elliott won the VFW Sports Clip Help a Hero 200 in his first start at Darlington, conquering the legendary track in a dramatic finish. This is his second consecutive victory following his win at Texas last week and his sixth top-10 finish in 2014.

Landon Cassill silenced critics on Friday after wheeling his No. 01 JD Motorsports Chevrolet to an astounding 12th place finish at Darlington Speedway – his career-best at the track given the moniker ‘Too Tough To Tame’ and ‘The Lady in Black’.

After posting fast speeds in all three rounds, Kyle Busch went to the top of the leaderboard in Round 3 of Knockout Qualifying to score his 37th pole in 277 NASCAR Nationwide Series races. He posted a lap speed of 173.681 mph. It is his third pole in ten races at Darlington Raceway.

Eric McClure started the 300-mile race in the 29th position. Battling a car that lacked rear grip throughout the majority of the race, McClure visited pit road several times to receive adjustments to the car to improve its handling.

2014 will mark Buescher’s third trip to Darlington Raceway. He competed in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at the 1.366 mile track in 2011 and 2013

Friday’s VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200 Nationwide Series race at Darlington Raceway seems like a relatively short event in the grand scheme of things, but the Lady in Black, as the track has been called, makes it a tough evening

Earnhardt will return to the track, arguably NASCAR’s toughest, in Friday night’s VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200 Nationwide Series race. It will be his seventh race in the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 4 Chevrolet.

Last Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway, Chase Elliott picked up his first career Nationwide Series win in his sixth start of the season.

A PREVIOUS WINNER: Of Joey Logano’s 21-career NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) wins, one of them came at Darlington Raceway. In 2012, when Logano won nine NNS races, Logano took the lead late from Elliott Sadler to take the victory. He led only four laps in the event en route to the victory.
