Driver of the No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota, Kyle Busch, wins his ninth NASCAR Nationwide Series pole award this season at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Busch is no stranger to doing well in the Nationwide Series with ten wins this season, including eighteen top-5 and nineteen top-10 finishes leading a total of 4,027 laps.

Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) announced today its partnership with Ryan Reed and the American Diabetes Association Drive to Stop Diabetes SM campaign, presented by Lilly Diabetes. Reed will drive the No. 16 RFR Ford full-time in the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series season, competing for a championship and rookie-of-the-year honors. Reed, a NASCAR driver making his dreams come true while living with type 1 diabetes, collaborated with the American Diabetes Association for the Drive to Stop Diabetes SMcampaign in 2013, driving for RFR in a limited schedule.

"BK Racing understands the severity of the situation and we don't condone the actions that Travis has been accused of," commented Ron Devine, co-owner of BK Racing. "We feel it's important to let the system take its course. For that reason, we have elected to support Travis and his family and keep Travis in the car for this weekend's race. Further comment will be available as additional information becomes available."

Dover International Speedway officials today announced the track’s 2014 race dates, as two tripleheader NASCAR weekends will return to the track next year on May 30-June 1 and Sept. 26-28, 2014.

Following the fourth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) event of the 10-race Chase for the Sprint Cup championship playoff, Toyota driver Matt Kenseth continues to lead the 13-driver field and sits three points ahead of second-place Jimmie Johnson. Kyle Busch ranks fifth in the standings, 35 points behind Kenseth, while Clint Bowyer is ninth -- 55 points behind the leader. Kenseth leads all drivers with seven wins in 2013.
