Green to Pilot No. 14 Camry at BMS; McClure Remains Hospitalized

TMI (Team McClure, Inc.) announced today that Jeff Green will pilot the No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds® Toyota during Friday night’s Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway. The team’s regular driver, Eric McClure, was admitted to a local hospital on August 12 and was diagnosed with acute renal failure after a series of tests.

Pat Tryson Named Crew Chief of Turner Scott Motorsports’ No. 30 Nationwide Series Entry

Turner Scott Motorsports announced today that the team has named Pat Tryson as crew chief for the No. 30 NASCAR Nationwide Series entry. Tryson will take over the crew chief duties for Nelson Piquet Jr. starting in the August 23 race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Tryson, a NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series veteran has served as crew chief for 516 events, earning a total of 10 wins, 66 top-five, 139-top 10s and four poles throughout the three series. The Malvern, Pa. native earned his first career win with Elliott Sadler in 2001 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Kyle Larson No. 32 NNS Post-Race Report: Mid-Ohio

Despite having no road-course experience prior to this season, Larson came to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (Mid-Ohio) for the Nationwide Children's Hospital 200 looking for a solid finish in his No. 32 McDonald's Chevrolet Camaro. After doing well in Thursday's test sessions and finishing 12th and seventh in Friday's two practice sessions, Larson earned his best qualifying effort of the season, starting the 90-lap race from the fourth position. An incident on lap one left Larson three laps down, but the rookie got back onto the lead lap and worked his way up to the top five before a wild last lap left him with a 14th-place finish.
