Darlington Raceway partners with American City Business Journals, former Scene publisher Steve Waid and former staff writer Rick Houston to issue a special commemorative throwback edition of Grand National Scene

Pocono Raceway announced today NBC’s “New Amsterdam” actor Tyler Labine has been named the Honorary Pace Car Driver for the Gander RV 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race on Sunday, July 28. Additionally, four F-16C Fighting Falcons from the 177th Fighter Wing of the N.J. Air National Guard will perform the flyover prior to the race.

Grand Funk Railroad, the top-selling American rock group of the 1970s, will perform a free concert on the Xfinity Stage at Victory Plaza on Sunday, Oct. 6, before the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Dover International Speedway, part of the Monster Mile’s 50th Anniversary celebration.

Pocono Raceway will host over 60 events and activities, taking place both on and off the track, for fans attending the Gander RV 400 race weekend from July 26-28. The major races each day will include the FORTS USA 150 ARCA Menards Series (AMS) race on Friday, the Gander RV 150 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) race on Saturday and the Gander RV 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race on Sunday.

The Harlem Globetrotters, the legendary basketball team that wows fans of all ages with its ball skills, trick shots, comedy and more, will return to Dover International Speedway on Sunday, Oct. 6, as part of the Monster Mile’s 50th Anniversary celebration.

Pocono Raceway will host the third annual Pocono Raceway Fan Fest from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday, July 26. This year’s event is free for anyone who has a 2019 Gander RV 400 race weekend ticket and for kids, ages 12 and under.

In honor of Talladega Superspeedway’s 50th anniversary event, NASCAR’s “Super” Superspeedway, which opened its doors in Alabama in 1969, announced today a special ticket package that includes a “$69” ticket for the 1000Bulbs.com 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event (Oct. 13) and a commemorative 1969 ‘Dega T-shirt.
