The Careers for Veterans 200 at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday featured a last-lap pass that led to a Brett Moffitt victory.

Actor Jake Short will serve as the honorary pace car driver for Sunday’s Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

Dover International Speedway has started two construction projects which will add more than 500 feet of SAFER barriers around the track and increase usable space for NASCAR haulers in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garage.

Cale Yarborough once again will be driving on the legendary high banks of Darlington Raceway. On Sunday, Sept. 4, Yarborough, a South Carolina native and NASCAR Hall of Famer, will pace the field as the honorary pace car driver for the 67th running of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bojangles’ Southern 500.

Detroit Red Wings Head Coach Jeff Blashill will serve as the grand marshal for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Pure Michigan 400 on August 28 at Michigan International Speedway.

Since its inception in 2014, the revamped Chase format in the Sprint Cup Series has featured electrifying drama in the season-finale championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Starting in 2016, the same thrill and excitement of the Chase will be implemented in the XFINITY and Camping World Truck Series, marking the first time in NASCAR history that the Championship 4 from each division will compete for their respective crown during Ford Championship Weekend.

Richard Childress, Rick Hendrick and Mark Martin, all of whom will be inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2017, will serve as Grand Marshals for the Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Phoenix International Raceway, through Phoenix Raceway Charities, is spearheading a $500,000 renovation project for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix. The donation marks the largest contribution to date by the organization and is a result of fundraising and commitments generated from Phoenix Raceway’s 50th Anniversary season in 2014.

Three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart, who will be making his final NSCS start at Darlington Raceway on Sept. 4, has been confirmed for an appearance in Darlington Stripe Zone Fan Hospitality.

NASCAR unveiled the aerodynamic package for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Pure Michigan 400 race on August 28. The industry-wide collaboration to further enhance the racing has led to the continued development of the rules package.
