Because of the continued rainfall, NASCAR and Dover International Speedway have announced the cancellation of today's on-track activities.

Fans coming to the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 at Phoenix International Raceway will be in for a treat prior to the race on Sunday, Nov. 15. That morning, the popular rock-n-roll group Everclear will perform a pre-race concert in the fan midway area at 10:30 a.m. MST.

When Dale Earnhardt Jr. takes the green flag in the CampingWorld.com 500 on Sunday, Oct. 25, he'll not only be looking to sweep into Victory Lane at the Talladega Superspeedway for the second time this season, he'll also be trying to write his name into the track record book in a special way alongside his Dad - Dale Earnhardt Sr. - and Pete Hamilton.

Rosie Perez, an Academy Award-, Golden Globe- and Emmy-nominated actress and choreographer, has been named the grand marshal for the “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Kansas Speedway and Jeff Gordon have been intertwined since 2001, when Gordon won the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the facility. Since then, Gordon’s name can be found in the record books a few times – first two-time winner, first three-time winner, and first night race winner last May.

At the dawn of the new millennium, as NASCAR was watching its national influence grow from country back roads to corporate board rooms, one driver stood alone as the face of the sport.

Curt Schilling, a World Series MVP, three-time World Series champion and six-time All-Star, will deliver the invocation before the SYLVANIA 300 – the second race in NASCAR’s Chase for the Sprint Cup at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sept. 27. Schilling helped the Boston Red Sox erase an 86-year World Series drought with a 4-0 sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2004 World Series.
