As Jeff Gordon prepares to make his final start at Charlotte Motor Speedway during the Bank of America 500 on Oct. 10, speedway officials are rolling out a multifaceted campaign to mark the milestone in a fashion fitting the future NASCAR Hall of Famer.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Talladega Superspeedway’s most recent winner, has been named the first driver scheduled to take part in the track’s Pre-Race Fan Question & Answer Session at the start-finish line on Sunday, Oct. 25, prior to the start of the Alabama 500.

The popular alternative band X Ambassadors will visit Dover International Speedway on Oct. 4 and perform a free concert before the “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. The race serves as race No. 3 in the 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, and the first elimination race in NASCAR’s playoff format. X Ambassadors lead singer Sam Harris will also perform the National Anthem prior to the start of the race.
