Todd Bodine and the No. 11 Toyota Care team entered NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition this Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a brand-new, Red Horse Racing built chassis in tow. After starting from the 10th position, Bodine came back from a spin on lap one in the Smith's 350 with the help of crew chief Rick Gay's strategy calls and adjustments to the Toyota Care Tundra. "The Onion" marched through the field after recovering from the incident and grabbed a fifth place finish.

Under a full moon in Las Vegas, Miguel Paludo battled back from illness and late-race damage in a caution-filled race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to earn his 12th top-15 finish of the season. With a fast truck, impressive pit stops by the Turner Motorsports crew and the driver's own endurance, Paludo, who felt ill prior to the start of the Smith's 350, powered through a string of early-race cautions and recovered from damage received in a lap 116 accident to finish 11th in Saturday night's event in Sin City.

Ron Hornaday went into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Smith's 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) as a dark horse with advertised odds of 25-1. Hornaday, a four-time series champion, has a history of working odds against him to his favor. However, Saturday night, the circumstances that kept him from overcoming those odds were beyond his control. Hornaday lost two engines over the course of the weekend which relegated the Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff No. 9 to a 27th-place finish in Sin City.
