DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The defending NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series championship team returned and won their third consecutive race, but this time they had a new man behind the wheel of their hot rod.

The Truck Series finally gets back on track this Friday night for the first race of the 2019 season. And with the series getting on track, it'll be the 20th time, every year since 2000, when the first race at Daytona features the Trucks.

Chastain on Racing at Daytona: “I’m excited to get this season started,” said Chastain. “This is going to be a great year, and I’m looking forward to Friday’s race with this Niece Motorsports group. I know that they’ve been working really hard this off season to get everything ready for 2019, so I know Phil and the team will have a strong truck on Friday.”

One of the feel-good stories from the 2018 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) Daytona season-opener will have another opportunity to shine again as Clay Greenfield (@ClayGreenfield) and his Clay Greenfield Motorsports (CGM) team will compete in Friday night’s NextEra Energy Resources 250.

After an aggressive offseason of building race trucks and preparing for their first race of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) season, Friday night’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 provides an opportunity for CFR to strut their stuff at the historic Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series head to Daytona International Speedway this weekend to kick off the 2019 season.

Stewart Friesen returns for his second full-time NGOTS season with Halmar Friesen Racing.

The reigning ARCA Series champion will compete for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors with GMS Racing in his first full-time NGOTS season. Creed led 35 laps and finished third in the 2018 ARCA Series event at Daytona.

GMS Racing announced today PlanBSales.com will sponsor reigning NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series champion Brett Moffitt in the season-opening race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway this Friday. In addition to Daytona, PlanBSales.com will also sponsor Moffitt’s No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado at ISM Raceway in Phoenix on November 8.
