Buescher Finishes 21st in Finale at Phoenix

No. 17 Team Rebounds in Final Race of 2022 Season

AVONDALE, Ariz. (Nov. 6, 2022) – Chris Buescher drove his Fastenal Ford Mustang to a 21st-place finish in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series finale Sunday at Phoenix Raceway.

Buescher fired off 19th to begin the afternoon of 312 laps, going on to finish the quick first stage of 60 laps in 23rd. He fired off 23rd for stage two before a yellow was shown just a few laps into the run. During the caution in his scheduled pit stop, the RFK tire carrier was struck by the No. 99 car, resulting in a second trip to pit road during the yellow while the team assessed the pit personnel situation.

Buescher went on to finish the stage in 27th, and after going a lap down to the leaders, the team fought back for Buescher to wave around and regain the lead lap position. He ultimately picked off multiple positions in the closing laps to earn the 21st-place finish.

Keselowski’s Day Ends Early after Car Catches Fire

No. 6 Ford Finishes 35th

AVONDALE, Ariz. (Nov. 6, 2022) – Brad Keselowski’s season finale unfortunately came to an early end after his No. 6 Ford went up in flames with 45 laps to go, relegating him to a 35th-place finish.

The opening stage of 60 laps ran caution-free with Keselowski finding his way through the handling on the Kohler Generators machine. He finished the opening run in 22nd with little change in running order to start.

Just one caution separated the second stage with Keselowski crossing the stripe 25th to conclude it. He fired off 30th for the final stage and began working his way up as the laps wound down. Then, under caution with 45 to go, smoke started to show from the No. 6, which ultimately turned too severe as Keselowski retired early.

Burton Finishes 19th In Phoenix Finale

Harrison Burton and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team ended the 2022 season with a 19th-place finish, their 13th top-20 of the year, as their Ford teammate Joey Logano won both the season finale at Phoenix Raceway and the 2022 Cup Series championship.

It was the second Cup title for Logano and the third for his car owner Roger Penske, who now, for the first time has won titles in NASCAR’s Cup Series and the IndyCar Series in the same season.

Logano now joins former Wood Brothers driver David Pearson as the only Ford Motor Company drivers to win multiple Cup Series championships.

“We’d like to congratulate Joey and Mr. Penske on an amazing year,” said Eddie Wood, whose No. 21 team shares an alliance with Team Penske. “And we’re so happy for all the people at Ford – Edsel Ford, Jim Farley, Mark Rushbrook and everyone who is a part of Ford MotorCompany.”

“The championship is what everyone strives for, and Joey, Team Penske and Ford Performance won this one in dominant fashion.”

Wood also expressed his appreciation to Jasmine Pendleton, Mark Rushbrook and the people at Motorcraft/Quick Lane and Ford Performance who have backed the team all season.

“They’re all like family, and it’s an honor to have carried their colors on our Mustang this season, and in seasons past,” he said. “Along with DEX Imaging they have been great supporters of our team, and we obviously couldn’t do this without them.”

Sunday’s race at Phoenix was another solid day for the Wood’s No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team.

Burton started Sunday’s 312-mile race from sixth-place, his best starting spot of the season. Eddie Wood said he was proud of the progress the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane has shown in recent weeks as they closed the season with three-straight top-20 finishes, including a 20th at Homestead and an 11th at Martinsville.

“Things seem to be really coming together the past few races,” he said. “My family and I would like to thank Harrison, Brian Wilson and all the members of the No. 21 team for all their hard work this season.”

“We believe the pieces have fallen into place for a strong 2023 season.”

Wood also expressed his and his team’s deep sympathy to the Joe Gibbs family and all the people at JGR over the untimely passing of Joe’s son, Coy Gibbs.

“That was hard news to hear,” Wood said. “It certainly made for a day of mixed emotions. Our prayers are with the Gibbs family during this tough time.”

Burton and the Wood Brothers now turn their attention to the 2023 schedule, with the yellow rookie stripe removed from the No. 21 Mustang.

Event: Mission Foods Austin SpeedTour (Round 12 of 12)
Series: Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli
Division: TA2
Location: Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas
Layout: 3.426-mile, 20-turn road course
Format: 30 laps or 75 minutes
Weather: Sunny, high-70s

TeamSLR:

● Connor Mosack – Started 32nd, Finished 44th (Mechanical, completed 24/26 laps)
● Chris Liesfeld – Started 26th, Finished 46th (Running, completed 22/26 laps)

Connor Mosack, Driver No. 28 Open Eyes/Nacarato Truck Centers/Nic Taylor Custom Fit Underwear/M1 Racecars Ford Mustang:

“It just wasn’t our weekend, but we had a really fast car. We had some trouble in qualifying getting clean laps and then the black flag came out that disallowed the lap that would’ve put us third on the grid. Even back there in traffic, I knew we had a good car that we could come back through the field with today. We did a good job of that, got all the way to third and had saved our tires really well coming through the field and running down the leaders. I thought we were in a really good position with them racing each other. We were right where we needed to be, but started having an issue with the car, the handling went away all of a sudden, and a lap later the rear end gave way on us. We didn’t get to finish, but it was a fun day and there was not much more we could do. Overall, I’ve enjoyed running with the Lagasses. They’ve taught me a lot. I learned a lot from them, just running in these cars and the guys we race against up front. It’s been a really enjoyable two years. I learned a lot, and I’m looking forward to going NASCAR racing next year.”

Chris Liesfeld, Driver No. 96 Fields Racing/M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro:

“It was a tough weekend for me. This track is one I only raced on for the second time, so it was a challenge to learn the line. You could definitely tell the guys who know this track well. I felt like I was OK. I was getting faster every session. I was excited about the race, feeling like I could pick up some more time there, as well. But we had problems with the rear end where we couldn’t run with the speed we needed, and having something break and spinning out, so I ended up limping across the finish. Usually after a race, no matter what, whether it’s a good weekend or a bad one, I’m excited about the next race and I’m already thinking about next year.”

Connor Zilisch Caps 2022 with Season’s First Podium

16-Year-Old’s Second-Place Run Includes Fastest Overall Race Lap; Maurice Hull Comes Home 32nd in Eventful Trans Am TA2 Finale

Overview:
Date: Nov. 6, 2022
Event: Mission Foods Austin SpeedTour (Round 12 of 12)
Series: Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli
Division: TA2
Location: Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas
Layout: 3.426-mile, 20-turn road course
Format: 30 laps or 75 minutes
Weather: Sunny, high-70s
Race Winner: Thomas Merrill of Mike Cope Racing

Silver Hare Racing:

● Connor Zilisch – Started 2nd, Finished 2nd (Running, completed 26/26 laps)

● Maurice Hull – Started 41st, Finished 32nd (Running, completed 26/26 laps)

Maurice Hull, owner/driver, No. 57 Waukegan Quarter Horses/Silver Hare Racing Chevrolet Camaro:

“I’m super proud of our team and Connor. Great cars, Connor had the fastest lap of the race, the cars drove well, and mine held together even when it was banged up. It was an interesting race because it was definitely a race of attrition, but Connor was up front the whole time – he stayed in second from the first lap to the last – so he didn’t need the help of the attrition. Most of the attrition was occurring in front of me and around me. It was really intense, close racing. There was a lot of contact and a lot of frustrated people today. I was tickled with how we ended up, brought it home, passed a bunch of people today, had a great time, a great race. I’m proud of Trans Am for putting this together. It’s definitely a traveling show. I think we learned a lot this year about a lot of things, including the old saying, ‘To finish first, first you must finish,’ and it’s true. I think we came a long way this year, and Connor’s been extremely helpful to me. We’ve had a good growing year. We got a lot of the right parts and super people in the right places. We’ve added some folks over the course of the year who really tremendously strengthened not only the performance of the team, but the overall performance strategy that we want to work toward. So it’s been a very fruitful year, and now we have a great step to jump off of for next year.”

Connor Zilisch, driver, No. 5 Silver Hare Racing/KHI Management Chevrolet Camaro:

“After the year we’ve had, it’s hard to be upset with a second-place finish. We’ve had bad luck all year, we’ve had some bad races the last three races, so to come out here in the last race of the year and to get up on the podium with a fighting chance at the win is something I’m really proud of. And I’m really proud of the whole Silver Hare team for sticking with me and keeping me motivated, and everyone else staying motivated, that means a lot. I want to thank Laura and Maurice Hull (co-owners) for trusting me with their car and giving me this opportunity this year. Just to be able to finish off the year like this is super special and I’m super excited for next year. Aggression was kind of my enemy the last three races, so I just wanted to be patient and finish a race, and I knew what he (Thomas Merrill, race winner and TA2 champion) was fighting for, and I didn’t want to be that guy to go out there and really not only make him upset but make a lot of this paddock upset. Congrats to Thomas for an awesome race. He was incredible all year, a great mentor to me and all the other young kids out here. Just super thankful to be competing in this series and being able to race against these guys.”

How to Avoid Online Casino Scams

Photo by Chris Liverani on Unsplash

Online casinos and gambling has made the lives of many people easier — making that extra income without having to spend unnecessarily on the costs associated with physical casinos. All you now need is just internet connectivity and a device, and you’re in.

What’s more, most online gambling sites have made it easier for people to deposit and withdraw cash, making this activity even more popular.

However, while there are many reputable casino site (카지노사이트) that you can play with, it would be prudent to note that there are equally as many fraudulent sites that seek to prey on unsuspecting users. These sites are often run by scammers, and at times, it may be a little difficult, especially for beginners, to differentiate these sites from genuine ones, especially for beginners.

To protect yourself from these fraudulent sites, here are top tips to help you get started:

  1. Check Website Reviews

In most cases, people that are very satisfied with something will most likely post their approvals online. The same applies to those that are very dissatisfied. Before creating an account with a gambling site, ensure to go through its online reviews from past users.  Also, check out the payment methods. If you are into Bitcoin, then bitcoin casinos might be a good option for you.

It should be an apparent red flag if you find many negative reviews about the website online. Moreover, if there are no reviews online for a platform that’s been operational for many years, you may have to consider looking out for another site.

  1. Evaluate the Terms and Conditions

Another way to identify a fake online casino is to go through its terms and conditions keenly. This is where most of them get their unsuspecting users trapped without the option of doing anything else.

How many times have you simply clicked on “accepting the terms and conditions” without actually going through them? Countless times, right? Well, this is how these fake casino sites take advantage of their users by having some hidden clauses in their terms to trap you. What’s more, you cannot even sue them, as you will have bound yourself to their contract by accepting their terms and conditions.

Some of the hidden terms that these unscrupulous platforms may have include withdrawal limits, wagering requirements, bonus terms, etc. Ensure to go through each page keenly to avoid getting trapped.

  1. Check the Licensing Information

Most, if not all, online gambling companies should (and are) be regulated and licensed by the relevant authorities. Ensure that the company publicly displays its operational licenses and is permitted to operate in its respective regions.

If this information is not openly displayed on their website, you may request their customer care agents to send over any documentation you can verify. If they take a long to respond to you or are reluctant to share their operational licenses, avoid them as it is a possible scam in waiting.

At times, it may be a little difficult to tell a scam from genuine platforms, just by looking or before trying them out. In some cases, you may have to try out the website and watch out for any red flags, such as:

  • Unfair games that use doctored systems to give the house a bigger advantage
  • Outrageous withdrawal limits
  • Bogus bonuses. Some of these bonuses ‘disappear’ once you have signed up to the website
  • Slow payment

As such, it would be prudent only to rely on a reliable casino site (카지노사이트)when playing to avoid getting scammed in online gambling.
