Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing Team Winward Racing Qualifies Fifth for Saturday’s Grand Prix of Long Beach

Reigning IMSA WeatherTech GT Daytona (GTD) Titlists Russell Ward and Philip Ellis Begin Championship Rebound in the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Solid Points Day in Qualifying for Saturday’s 100-Minute IMSA WeatherTech Championship Race on the Streets of Long Beach.

LONG BEACH, California – Two-time and reigning IMSA GT Daytona (GTD) champions Winward Racing and team driver Russell Ward secured some solid points in the season-long GTD standings with a fifth-place qualifying effort Friday for tomorrow’s Grand Prix of Long Beach for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Ward briefly held the GTD pole position halfway through the quick 15-minute session and then locked down fifth on the grid with his second and final flying lap in the closing minutes.

Ward, who turned a top lap time of 1:18.705 (90.017 mph) on his tenth of 12 qualifying laps – just 0.001 of a second shy of the GTD championship leader in fourth place – rolls off from the inside of GTD row three for tomorrow’s sprint. The 100-minute timed race is the shortest of the year on the IMSA GTD schedule.

The No. 57 team and both Ward and co-driver Philip Ellis earned 26 points for the top five run in the time trials. The nice tally helps the team recover from a challenging race last month at the 12 Hours of Sebring when the No. 57 was forced to retire in the race’s early stages after getting caught up in an incident between two GTD Pro entries.

Ward was just behind the accident scene in the No. 57 and one of the still spinning GTD Pro cars rolled right into his path. Ward was uninjured in the contact incident, but he, Ellis and the No. 57 entry earned minimal points, failing to finish a race through no fault of their own for the first time in several seasons.

Friday’s solid points haul in qualifying was the first step in the Winward team racing back into the fight for a third-straight GTD championship. The Winward team and its drivers have basically moved to within three points of the top five in the GTD standings with two teams ranked ahead in the season-long standings not competing this weekend at Long Beach.

Saturday’s Grand Prix of Long Beach for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is scheduled to start at 1:05 p.m. PDT. Live television coverage on the flagship NBC network begins at 4 p.m. EDT/1 p.m. PDT and is also available in livestream coverage on Peacock and, for international viewers, at www.IMSA.tv.

“Long Beach is all about kind of getting through the race, but we are pretty happy with what we have. I am just going to get it to the pitstop tomorrow, and that’s really the plan. Definitely, with the Michelin tire, it felt a little bit different this year, and I think that showed in the lap times. This track is such a low energy track, and it takes a couple of laps to get everything up to temperature, and then you only really get two or three good laps. I feel like I definitely could have been one or two spots higher, but we’ll have to get them in the race tomorrow. We’ve had our bad luck for the year, and now it’s time to just press on, race the racetrack and get the most out of it.”

Cadillac to start third in 51st Long Beach Grand Prix

LONG BEACH (April 17, 2026) – Louis Delétraz and the No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R, qualified third for the 51st Long Beach Grand Prix IMSA race.

His lap of 1:11.833 was bettered by pole winner Nick Yelloly of Michael Shank Racing who posted a pole-winning time of 1:11.626.

Jack Atiken, driver of the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R run by Action Express Racing was fourth with a lap of 1:11.844, while Filipe Albuquerque, No. 10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R was ninth with a lap of 1:12.101.

Cadillac Racing has won six of the eight IMSA races at Long Beach (no race in 2020), including five in a row (2017-2022)

The Grand Prix of Long Beach is set for 1:05 p.m. PT on Saturday, April 18 from the Long Beach street circuit in southern California. It will air live on NBC starting at 4 p.m. ET with streaming coverage on Peacock. IMSA Radio will stream live audio coverage on XM 206, Channel 996 on the SiriusXM app and IMSA.com.

Louis Delétraz, No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R: “Great qualifying and P3 is a good position to start at Long Beach as we know it is very hard to overtake so big thank you to everyone at Cadillac racing and Wayne Taylor Racing. We still have the hardest part tomorrow with the race, but the car feels good. It was our best qualifying of the year and looking forward to the race and try to get our first podium of the year.”

Jack Aitken, No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R run by Action Express Racing: “Yeah it was not bad I think we were hoping for a little bit more. The track conditions felt good and felt fast. But it was difficult to find that last little bit. I think we put a good lap initially but a lot of other cars toward the end after we done our run as it were. It was what it was at that point. It’s a bit of a shame, but still a good starting position for tomorrow and we have to Cadillac up there, so hopefully we can pull out a good result from that.”

Filipe Albuquerque, No. 10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R: “Looking at the result, it is just not what I wanted. We were fighting the car, and I was just a tenth off my teammates in Cadillac and a tenth off here is bigger than any other track. It is what it is and tomorrow is going to be a bit harder for us, but it’s IMSA and it’s Long Beach and you just never know and we go on. The car is competitive, but the whole field is very tight.”

CORVETTE RACING AT LONG BEACH: Front Row for Wickens, DXDT

No. 36 Corvette rolling off second in GTD for IMSA season’s first sprint race

LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 17, 2026) – DXDT Racing’s Robert Wickens thrilled his team and fans at Long Beach on Friday with second-place qualifying effort for Saturday’s Grand Prix of Long Beach in the No. 36 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R specially equipped with a hand-control system.

Wickens set a lap of 1:18.562 (90.181mph) in Friday’s 15-minute session for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s GTD class. He was just 0.151 seconds off the class pole-winning time.

Long Beach will be his first race of the season back in the cockpit of the Corvette as he embarks on a five-race campaign in IMSA’s sprint rounds with full-season DXDT driver Mason Filippi.

Friday’s result was his best since joining DXDT Racing and Corvette a year ago. Long Beach in 2025 was the site of Wickens’ debut both in the WeatherTech Championship and in the Corvette.

The Z06 GT3.R features a fully electronic braking system by Bosch with a specially constructed steering wheel attachment that allows Wickens to accelerate and brake with his hands. The advancement is a revolutionary and collaborative effort between DXDT Racing, Bosch, General Motors and Pratt Miller, which is the constructor of the Corvette GT3.

DragonSpeed’s No. 81 Corvette and the No. 13 entry from 13 Autosport will start Saturday’s race from the eighth and ninth rows of the GTD grid, respectively.

Chevrolet and the Corvette brand have been a fixture at Long Beach since the Corvette Racing program first visited Long Beach in 2007. In 18 visits, Corvette GT cars have captured eight victories with two additional in the Corvette Daytona Prototype era. Combined with results from the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Chevrolet boasts a total of 22 victories in the Grand Prix’s two premier events.

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is set for 1:05 p.m. PT on Saturday from the Long Beach street circuit in southern California. It will air live on NBC starting at 4 p.m. ET with streaming coverage on Peacock. IMSA Radio will stream live audio coverage on XM 206, Channel 996 on the SiriusXM app and IMSA.com.

CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R POST-QUALIFYING DRIVER QUOTES

ROBERT WICKENS, NO. 36 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “We’ve been having some radio issues here and there so I heard I went P1 at the checkered. And then I didn’t hear anything for the rest of the lap because of the static. But yeah, P2 is alright! As soon as I heard that I missed it by a tenth, I knew exactly where I could have found that to snag P1. DXDT Racing gives me a good racecar, and the Corvette Z06 GT3.R is a dream around here. Living a good life!”

(Do you feel like you’re getting back in a comfort zone?) “Especially this weekend. The last time I drove a car was VIR last year. So it’s been a steep learning curve. Ironically I felt more prepared last year even though it was my debut in the series. This team is so strong. Mason (Filippi) has been doing an amazing job getting me up to speed. It’s a full team effort here. Hopefully we can play from P2 and try to get a podium.”

(Satisfying after last year’s qualifying?) “A bit of a redemption from last year, even making it through FP2 and having a clean weekend this year compared to last. DXDT Racing and Corvette Racing are doing an amazing job. The car is so nice to drive. When I heard I missed it by a tenth, you immediately know as a driver where you could have found it. It’s a good problem to have. We had the equipment to put it on the pole today. Hopefully with a little more experience, I can get a little more from the car and from the hand control system from Bosch. Going into this weekend, if you told me I’d be on the front row, I would have taken it.”

(Thinking about Turn One at the start?) “I’m not really thinking about Turn One. I’m more thinking about the hairpin to take the green. I feel like when you’re the slower class on the starts, it’s a bit of free-for-all and you can go wherever you want. I’m more worried about getting stuck on the outside of the hairpin and maybe getting a bad exit. I’m going to spend some time tonight and tomorrow looking at race starts over the past few years and see what I can learn.”

Power, Andretti Drop Hammer in Opening Long Beach Practice

LONG BEACH, Calif. (Friday, April 17, 2026) – After a blistering lap at Long Beach, it’s safe to say Will Power is starting to find his comfort zone at Andretti Global.

Power led the opening practice for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach with a top lap of 1 minute, 7.6053 seconds in the No. 26 TWG AI Honda of Andretti Global. That was nearly two-tenths of a second ahead of his closest pursuer, former teammate Scott McLaughlin, second at 1:07.7914 in the No. 3 AAA Travel Team Penske Chevrolet on the 11-turn, 1.968-mile temporary street circuit.

SEE: Practice Results

“On the reds (Firestone alternate tires), the car was very good,” Power said. “We still have things to improve but looking good.”

Power moved to Andretti Global after 16 full-time seasons at Team Penske that included two NTT INDYCAR SERIES championships and victory in the 2018 Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge, the highest-profile driver move of the offseason.

Two-time Long Beach winner Power has endured an inconsistent start to his Andretti tenure, adjusting to the different ways that team sets up its cars – especially its brakes – compared to Team Penske. He is 13th in the standings after four races but produced his best finish of the season, third, at the last street race, the Java House Grand Prix of Arlington on March 15.

Up next is the second practice at 1:30 p.m. ET Saturday (FS2, FOX One, FOX Sports app, INDYCAR Radio powered by OnlyBulls), followed by NTT P1 Award qualifying at 6:30 p.m. ET (FS1, FOX One, FOX Sports app, INDYCAR Radio powered by OnlyBulls). The Firestone Fast Six final round of qualifying will be a single-car, one-lap format unlike the group formats of the first two rounds.

The 90-lap race starts at 5:30 p.m. Sunday (FOX, FOX Deportes, FOX One, FOX Sports app, INDYCAR Radio powered by OnlyBulls).

“As you’ve seen over the years, the Andretti cars are really good here,” Power said. “I think the one lap in qualifying will be very interesting. Hard to say that would suit us or not.”

Andretti Global has won six of the past 14 street races in the series, with Kyle Kirkwood winning five of them. Two of those victories have come in this event, both from Kirkwood in 2023 and 2025.

The team continued to flex its street circuit muscle on a sun-splashed day at Long Beach, as series points leader Kirkwood joined teammate Power in the top three with a best lap of 1:07.9861 in the No. 27 JM Bullion/Gold.com Honda.

Four-time and reigning series champion Alex Palou was fourth at 1:08.0030 in the No. 10 OpenAI Chip Ganassi Racing Honda. Marcus Armstrong rounded out the top five at 1:08.1215 in the No. 66 Remax Honda of Meyer Shank Racing w/ Curb Agajanian.

Marcus Ericsson verified Andretti Global’s strength at Long Beach and on street circuits as he was the team’s third driver in the top six of the time chart, stopping the clocks at 1:08.1932 in the No. 28 Allegra Honda.

McLaughlin’s first practice was bittersweet. He was second quickest overall but ended his afternoon by sliding sideways into the tire barrier in Turn 9 shortly before the end of his practice group. He was unhurt, and the car suffered moderate damage.

Grand Prix Of Long Beach
1.968-mile, 11 turn, Long Beach street circuit
Long Beach California
Friday Practice Report
April 17, 2026

LONG BEACH, California (April 17, 2026) – For the fourth straight road and street course, Scott McLaughlin was the quickest Chevrolet-powered driver during the first practice, with Arrow McLaren teammates Christian Lundgaard in the No. 7 VELO Arrow McLaren Chevrolet and Pato O’Ward also had top ten pace in the first practice on the 1.968-mile, 11-turn, Long Beach street circuit.

For the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, the first practice on the road and street courses is split into three portions, with the entire field running the first forty minutes, and the field split in two for a pair of 12-minute sessions.

Chevrolet-powered drivers took six of the top 10 spots in the first 40 minutes, with drivers utilizing the Primary Firstone Firehawk racing tires (Black), with Pato O’Ward in the No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet leading the way for Team Chevy. McLaughlin, David Malukas in the No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet, Christian Lundgaard in the No. 7 VELO Arrow McLaren Chevrolet, Alexander Rossi in the No. 20 ECR Liquid Science Orange Chevrolet, and Josef Newgarden in the No. 2 Astemo Team Penske Chevrolet joined the Mexican driver.

When the first half of the field put on the Alternate Firestone Firehawk racing tires (Red), McLaughlin was immediately quick, setting a lap of 67.6053 seconds on his first hot lap. The Kiwi was on his second hot lap when the rear end of his No. 3 AAA Travel Team Penske Chevrolet stepped out under braking in Turn 9, tagging the tire barriers and ending his session.

“I felt like I got a denied downshift,” said McLaughlin. “It was a bit unfortunate, going in there, you’re committing pretty high. Looking back on it now, I probably should have. Looking back on it now, I probably didn’t have as much time because it was sliding for a long time. I grabbed a gear and it just locked the rear tires and I was a bit of a passenger. The car was super good. I was just trying to test those AAA tow trucks and figure if we could get some help; they were right there on the job. Excited for the AAA Travel Team Chevy. We’ve got a rocket ship this weekend; it’s just a matter of putting it together.”

After going sixth quickest in the first session on Blacks, Lundgaard was third best in his session on the Reds. Joining Lundgaard in the top five in the second 12-minute session was Alexander Rossi in the No. 20 ECR Liquid Science Orange Chevrolet. Malukas confirmed that Team Penske had speed, setting the quickest times in the first two sectors of his best lap before encountering traffic.

How the Car Accident Settlement Process Works in Tacoma

A car accident settlement is the process through which an injured person receives compensation for losses after proving another party’s fault. In Tacoma, this process follows Washington State laws and typically involves insurance claims, negotiations, and sometimes legal intervention.

Nestled along the Puget Sound, Tacoma blends busy urban roads with scenic waterfront drives. While the city offers a relaxed Pacific Northwest vibe, traffic congestion and unpredictable weather can increase accident risks. That’s why understanding how settlements work here isn’t just helpful; it’s necessary.

If you have been injured, consulting an auto accident lawyer in Tacoma early can make a noticeable difference. They can help you with the claim process and pursue the full compensation you deserve.

Step-by-Step Car Accident Settlement Process

Keep a note of the steps for this car accident settlement process in Tacoma.

Seek Medical Attention and Document Everything

Your health comes first, but documentation is just as critical. Medical records will create a direct link between your accident and your injuries.

Be sure to:

  • See a doctor immediately
  • Keep all bills, medications, and any reports
  • Take photos of all injuries and the vehicle damage

Filing the Insurance Claim

Once initial treatment begins, the next step is filing a claim with the appropriate insurance company.

This includes:

  • Accident reports (filed under RCW 46.52.030 if required)
  • Witness statements
  • Insurance policy details

Insurance companies often respond quickly, but not always fairly.

Investigation and Liability Determination

The insurer will investigate to determine who caused the accident. This stage can feel frustrating because adjusters may try to minimize your claim.

They typically review:

  • Police reports
  • Traffic camera footage
  • Vehicle damage analysis

This is where having a car accident lawyer becomes valuable. They will ensure that your side of the accident is properly represented.

Calculating Damages

Before any settlement discussion begins, you need a clear picture of what your claim is worth.

Damages generally include:

  • Any economic damages, such as medical bills, lost wages, and repair costs
  • Any non-economic damages, such as pain, suffering, emotional distress

Washington law does not cap most personal injury damages, which means settlements can vary widely based on case details.

Negotiation with Insurance Companies

This is often the longest phase. Insurance companies may offer a low initial settlement, hoping you will accept quickly.

A skilled lawyer will:

  • Present evidence-backed demand letters
  • Push back against any and all lowball offers
  • Properly negotiate strategically for the maximum compensation

Most cases settle here without going to court.

Filing a Lawsuit (If Necessary)

If the negotiations stall, filing a lawsuit may be the next step. In Tacoma, WA, the statute of limitations is 3 years (RCW 4.16.080) from the date of the accident.

Even after filing:

  • Settlement negotiations can continue
  • Many cases resolve before trial

Litigation simply adds pressure on the insurer to offer a fair amount.

Common Mistakes That Can Delay Your Settlement

It’s easy to unknowingly hurt your claim. Some common missteps include:

  • Delaying medical treatment
  • Giving recorded statements without legal advice
  • Accepting the first settlement offer
  • Posting accident details on social media

Avoiding these mistakes can significantly impact your final payout.

Why Hiring a Car Accident Lawyer Matters

Handling a claim alone might seem manageable until complications arise. A car accident attorney brings clarity and leverage to the process.

They help by:

  • Interpreting Washington-specific laws
  • Managing all paperwork and all deadlines
  • Negotiating aggressively with all insurers

Most importantly, they allow you to focus on recovery while they handle the legal pressure.

Final Takeaways

Here’s a quick summary of how the process works:

  • Tacoma follows a fault-based system under Washington law.
  • Even if partially at fault, you can recover damages.
  • The process includes claim filing, investigation, and negotiation.
  • Most settlements can happen outside court.
  • Legal guidance can and will most likely significantly improve the outcomes.

Understanding the settlement process isn’t just about legal knowledge. It’s about knowing how to protect your rights and avoid costly mistakes. Thankfully, a car accident lawyer plays a significant role in this case.

Pros of Working With a Cape Coral Truck Accident Lawyer

Working with a truck accident lawyer in Cape Coral can make a huge difference in how your case turns out. From handling complex insurance claims to proving fault, they bring experience you likely don’t have, and that can mean less stress and more compensation for you.

Truck accidents are not like regular car crashes. They often involve multiple parties, federal regulations, and serious injuries. Trying to deal with all that alone can quickly feel overwhelming. A skilled lawyer knows how to step in, take control, and guide the process so you don’t get lost in the details.

Cape Coral is one of the fastest-growing cities in Florida, known for its miles of canals and busy roadways. With more people moving in, traffic has increased, and so have accidents involving large commercial trucks. If you’re dealing with one, a Cape Coral truck accident attorney can help you understand your rights, and they will fight for the outcome you deserve.

Why Hiring a Cape Coral Truck Accident Lawyer Matters

Truck accidents bring higher stakes. Larger vehicles cause more damage. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) reported over 5,700 fatal crashes involving large trucks in 2021. That number has trended upward in recent years.

Florida law adds another layer. Under Florida Statutes § 316.302, commercial drivers must follow federal safety rules. These include limits on driving hours, truck maintenance, and cargo loading. If a driver or company breaks these rules, it can strengthen your claim—but only if you know where to look.

That’s where a lawyer comes in.

5 Benefits of Working With a Truck Accident Lawyer

1. They Know How to Prove Fault

Truck cases often involve more than one party:

  • The driver
  • The trucking company
  • A maintenance contractor
  • A cargo loader

A lawyer tracks down records like driver logs, inspection reports, and black box data. These details matter. Under 49 CFR § 395, drivers must follow strict hours-of-service limits. If they break those rules, it can show negligence.

You don’t have easy access to this evidence. A lawyer does.

2. They Handle Insurance Tactics

Insurance companies move fast after a crash. Their goal is simple: pay as little as possible.

A lawyer steps in and:

  • Handles all communication
  • Reviews settlement offers
  • Pushes back on lowball payouts

The Insurance Information Institute notes that liability claims involving trucks often exceed standard auto claims due to severe injuries and property loss. That makes insurers more aggressive.

You avoid saying the wrong thing. They keep the process on track.

3. They Calculate the True Value of Your Claim

Truck accidents often lead to long-term costs:

  • Medical bills
  • Lost wages
  • Ongoing treatment
  • Pain and suffering

Under Florida Statutes § 768.81, compensation may be reduced if you share fault. A lawyer works to limit that and maximize your recovery.

They look beyond the obvious bills. They factor in future costs too.

4. They Understand Federal and State Regulations

Truck cases rely heavily on federal rules, and many people do not know that these exist.

A lawyer uses laws like:

If a company skips inspections or pushes drivers past limits, that can directly support your case.

You don’t need to learn these rules. Your lawyer already knows them.

5. They Prepare for Trial if Needed

Most cases settle, but not all of them do.

If the negotiations fail, your lawyer can:

  • File a lawsuit
  • Build you a strong case
  • Present the evidence in court

Florida gives you limited time to act. Under Florida Statutes § 95.11(4)(a), you generally have two years to file a personal injury claim.

Miss that window, and your case could be dismissed.

What This Means for You

You get someone who understands the entire system. Someone who knows where to look, what to ask, and how to push back. That can ease pressure when you’re already dealing with injuries and stress.

George Siciliano Prepares for Biggest Motorsports Endeavor Yet with Kansas Speedway ARCA Start

KANSAS CITY, Kan: Fresh off back-to-back ARCA Menards Series East starts at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway and Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway earlier this month, famed content creator George Siciliano, better known in the online community as Squirrel McNutt, will make his ARCA Menards Series national debut in Saturday afternoon’s Tide 150 at Kansas Speedway.

Siciliano will pilot the No. 0 Heat Wave Visual Ford Fusion for Wayne Peterson Motorsports in alliance with Rette Jones Racing, continuing his transition from digital creator to race car driver while taking another significant step in his rapidly evolving motorsports journey.

The upcoming 100-lap contest at the 1.5-mile intermediate oval marks the latest challenge for Siciliano, who has steadily gained confidence behind the wheel through a variety of developmental measures and on-track competition while embracing the learning curve that comes with climbing the stock car racing ladder.

“This opportunity means a lot to me,” said Siciliano.

“Making my ARCA national debut at a place like Kansas Speedway is something I’m incredibly grateful for, and I can’t thank Mark Rette, Terry Jones and everyone at Wayne Peterson Motorsports and Rette Jones Racing enough for believing in me and giving me this chance.

“We’ve learned a ton over the past few races, and I’m continuing to get more comfortable every time I get in the car. Kansas is going to be a whole new challenge, but I’m excited for it and ready to keep learning.”

The good news for Siciliano is that the ARCA Menards Series will host an open four-hour practice session at the 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway on Friday morning, allowing teams ample opportunity to shake down their race cars in preparation for the first intermediate-track race of the 2026 ARCA Menards Series season.

For Siciliano, the additional track time could prove invaluable as he prepares to tackle one of the fastest and most demanding circuits of his young racing career.

With no prior experience at Kansas Speedway — or on a track larger than Rockingham Speedway’s 0.94-mile layout — the extended session will provide the rookie driver with a critical opportunity to acclimate himself to the track’s characteristics, build comfort behind the wheel, and work closely with his team before official practice begins later in the afternoon.

Siciliano’s recent East Series starts have provided a valuable foundation ahead of his national series debut, allowing him to gain firsthand experience in race conditions while sharpening his racecraft against seasoned competition.

“I’m really thankful we’ll have the extra practice time on Friday because I know how important every lap is going to be for me this weekend,” added Siciliano.

“Kansas is a completely new experience for me, not just because I’ve never raced there before, but because I’ve never competed on a track this big or this fast.

“Having those additional hours to learn the track, understand how the car reacts, and continue building confidence before official practice will be huge for our team and me.”

Fortunately for Siciliano, he will not have to navigate the weekend’s challenges alone, as fellow YouTube personality and close friend Cleetus McFarland will also be on hand competing in Saturday’s Tide 150 in a separate Rette Jones Racing entry.

While McFarland is also set to make his ARCA Menards Series debut this weekend at Kansas, he enters with prior intermediate-track experience, having competed at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway in 2025, giving Siciliano a familiar face and valuable resources throughout the weekend.

“Having Cleetus there this weekend is definitely going to help settle some nerves,” Siciliano added. “Even though we’re both learning a lot this weekend, he’s already had experience on a bigger intermediate track at Charlotte, so having someone I trust and someone I’m close with to lean on throughout the weekend will be really valuable.

“It makes the whole experience a little less intimidating knowing I’ve got a friend right there going through it with me.”

Rette Jones Racing co-owner Mark Rette believes Siciliano’s development has been evident each time he climbs behind the wheel and expects the Kansas weekend to serve as another pivotal benchmark in his progression.

“George continues to impress us with his commitment and willingness to learn,” Rette said. “He’s taken every opportunity seriously, applied what he’s learned each time out and has shown steady improvement in a short amount of time.

“Kansas will be a new test for him with the speed and style of racing that intermediate tracks bring, but we believe he’s ready for the challenge and eager to see what he can do.”

Siciliano will continue to be supported by Heat Wave Visual, an independent, California-based eyewear brand founded in 2012, known for combining bold, customizable street-style aesthetics with functional, action-sports-oriented design.

They feature specialized, removable lenses and offer Z87+ safety-rated options, popular in automotive, motorcycle, and off-road, and outdoor cultures.

Pending his performance throughout the ARCA Menards Series weekend at Kansas Speedway, Siciliano is expected to receive approval to compete in the Alabama Manufactured Housing 200 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on April 25, 2026.

The Tide 150 (100 laps | 150 miles) is the third of 20 races on the 2026 ARCA Menards Series schedule. Track activity begins on Fri., April 17, 2026, with an open practice session scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Event practice will follow later in the day with a 45-minute session from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., while group qualifying is slated to begin shortly thereafter at 5:00 p.m. The field will take the green flag shortly after 11:30 a.m. local (12:30 p.m. ET) on Saturday, April 18.
