Colby Howard returns to CR7 Motorsports at Martinsville Speedway

MARTINSVILLE, Va.: For the third time this season, Colby Howard returns to CR7 Motorsports set to drive the No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet Silverado in Saturday afternoon’s penultimate NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race of the season at the historic Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.

Howard, a native of Simpsonville, N.C. is soaking up the experience of driving for the Statesville, N.C.-based team in preparation of his rookie campaign on the tour in 2022.

Last month, Howard was announced as a new driver of a second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing next season. The addition of Saturday afternoon’s Truck Series will continue to allow him to add priceless laps under his belt as he prepares for a hopeful championship effort in 2022.

And a career-best performance would be a welcomed belated Birthday present for Howard who celebrated his 20th birthday on Oct. 28.

CR7 Motorsports returns to the tour after a three-week breather where at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, mainstay driver Codie Rohrbaugh contended for a top-10 finish but was eliminated from the Chevrolet Silverado 250 on the last lap and finished 16th.

With speed in their race trucks led by crew chief Doug George, the organization is focused on another top-10 in the 21st race of the season.

“We are excited to have Colby back behind the wheel of our truck,” said Rohrbaugh. “He did a fantastic job for our team not only at Darlington but at Bristol last month. With another short track race on deck, we think it is very possible that he can easily contend for a top-10 finish.”

At Bristol, Howard started 20th and dodged several melees on the tight, half-mile coliseum and delivered a 15th place result – on the heels of his 13th place effort at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway the week before.

With prior experience at Martinsville earlier this year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the South Carolinian is banking on his prior experience at the historic Virginia paperclip to propel him to his first career top-10 finish in the Truck Series.

“I cannot thank Codie (Rohrbaugh), Doug (George) and the entire CR7 Motorsports team and family enough for this opportunity again,” said Howard. “I have had a lot of fun driving this No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet Silverado. With two good finishes under our belt at Darlington and Bristol, I am hoping for another good run in the Truck Series.”

Knowing the confines of Martinsville are night and day compared to the track of Darlington and Bristol, Howard is hoping that the good ole’ short track mentality will take over and he will use that to be an advantage towards rewarding the family-owned team with their fifth top-10 finish of 2021.

“Martinsville is a very tight short track, there isn’t a lot of room to hide, let alone make an error,” Howard added. “It’s a place where track position is everything and you have to be willing to stick with whatever challenges come your way.

“It’s gonna be rough for sure. It’s not as easy of a track to pass as Darlington or Bristol may be – so you may have to be aggressive – but you don’t want to be too aggressive and have it bite you right back or perhaps even later in the race. We will run our race, hopefully, keep the truck clean as long as possible and just see how the dominos fall to hopefully bring home another solid finish.”

Based on metrics set by NASCAR without practice or qualifying, Howard will line up 29th for the 200-lap race.

Entering Martinsville, CR7 Motorsports holds 24th in the championship owner standings participating in 18 of the 20 races this season.

Following Martinsville, Fairhope, Ala.’s Grant Enfinger will return to the organization to close out the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway on Fri., Nov. 5., 2021.

CR7 Motorsports has 44 NCWTS starts to their credit with a career-best finish of third at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (February 2020). Additionally, the team owns six other top-10 finishes including two this season at Circuit of the Americas (fourth | Grant Enfinger) in May 2021 and Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway (seventh | Grant Enfinger) in March 2021. An 11th place qualifying effort at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway (Oct. 2019) is the team’s best time trials effort to date.

Marketing partnership(s) opportunities are also available for the No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, as well as the team’s ARCA Menards Series No. 97 A.L.L. Construction | Grant County Mulch Chevrolet program with driver Jason Kitzmiller for the 2021 seasons and beyond. Interested inquiries are encouraged to contact tonya@gcmulch.com or 304.257.8783.

The United Rentals 200 (200 laps | 105.2 miles) is the 21st of 22 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races on the 2021 schedule. The 40-truck field will take the green flag on Sat., Oct. 30, 2021, shortly after 1:00 p.m. ET with live coverage on FOX Sports 1, the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 90.

It will be launched worldwide in the middle of 2022.
  • Toyota is promoting the deployment of BEVs in its full lineup, starting with the bZ4X.
Toyota City, Japan, Oct 29, 2021 – (JCN Newswire) – Toyota has announced the details of bZ4X, its all-new model BEV(1).

Toyota’s Approach to Carbon Neutrality is “Practical and Sustainable”

Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) is striving to resolve various issues to realize a sustainable society, with the aim of passing down this beautiful Earth, our home planet, to future generations. We leverage strengths fostered through manufacturing, producing technological innovation in application to CASE to expand the potential of cars, striving to provide services that provide freedom of mobility to all, in an effort to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.

In particular, reduction of CO2 emissions is an urgent challenge on a global scale, and Toyota is tackling initiatives towards achieving carbon neutrality (CN) by 2050. It is significant that the popularization of eco-friendly vehicles will contribute to reductions in CO2.

For this reason, Toyota believes in the idea of “introducing sustainable vehicles practically” and is developing a full line-up of electrified vehicles–comprising HEVs, PHEVs, BEVs, and FCEVs–in preparation to offer its customers a wide range of choices. Toyota aims to reduce CO2 with products that are easy to use and highly appealing.

The new BEV series, Toyota bZ, is also based on this policy. We aim to gain acceptance from many customers in regions with great demand for BEVs and plentiful supply of electricity from renewable energy, such as China, the U.S., Europe, and Japan, and plan to introduce seven Toyota bZ models by 2025.

RSS Racing reveals 2022 Xfinity Series plans

Photo by Jared C. Tilton/Getty Images.

RSS Racing announced its competition plans for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series highlighted with a sponsorship extension, new and familiar technical alliances and a possible expansion towards the future.

The team was first thrilled to announce that CMR Construction & Roofing will remain as a full-time sponsor of the No. 39 RSS Racing car for the upcoming season and for driver Ryan Sieg, who will remain as the team’s full-time competitor.

The partnership between Sieg, RSS Racing and CMR started in March 2019 at Texas Motor Speedway, with the company sponsoring the team in select events before becoming a full-time primary sponsor in 2020.

“This is a huge deal for our team to have CMR Construction & Roofing return as our full-time primary sponsor for a third straight season,” Ryan Sieg said. “This shows the commitment that CMR has to RSS Racing and NASCAR. I can’t thank them enough for their loyalty and believing in me and our race team.”

The 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season will mark Sieg’s ninth full-time season as a competitor. Since making his series debut at Phoenix Raceway in March 2013, the Tucker, Georgia, native has accumulated 14 top-five results, 39 top-10 results, 162 laps led, three Playoff appearances, an average-finishing result of 18.2 and a best points result of ninth in 2016. His best on-track result in the series is second, which occurred twice (Iowa Speedway in June 2017 and Talladega Superspeedway in October 2020).

Sieg is currently ranked in 14th place in the 2021 Xfinity Series standings, having recorded two top-five results and seven top-10 results through 31 of 33 scheduled events, including a fifth-place result in the series’ recent event at Kansas Speedway.

“We are excited to sponsor Ryan Sieg again for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season,” Jason White, President of Motorsports of CMR Roofing & Construction, added. “I raced alongside Ryan in the past, and the Sieg Family are wonderful people, both on and off the track. Everyone at CMR is very excited for next season.”

To go along with the sponsorship announcement, RSS Racing will be continuing its partnership with Ford Performance, fielding Ford Mustangs on the track next season, and be supplied with Roush-Yates Engines. In addition, the team will be forming a technical alliance with Stewart-Haas Racing in 2022.

“This is a huge step for our team to return with Ford Performance and Roush-Yates Engines, along with the addition of a technical alliance with Stewart-Haas Racing,” Sieg added. “I’m very excited and looking forward to next season.”

Lastly, RSS Racing unveiled plans on fielding multiple cars for the 2022 NASCAR season alongside Sieg’s No. 39 Ford Mustang. Additional details regarding the expansion will be announced at a later date.

With plans on 2022 set, Sieg and RSS Racing look to conclude the 2021 Xfinity Series season on a high note, beginning at Martinsville Speedway for the penultimate event of the season. The event is scheduled to occur on Saturday, October 30, at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

The Increasing Demand for Used Cars

After the pandemic, the real estate market is not the only market to have skyrocketed. The used-car market is at an all-time high, with demand only growing month after month.

Being more educated on the current used car market will allow you to look in all of the correct places. Sometimes it might be an idea to look further afield to find a better deal, for example, used cars leeds. It might mean traveling a bit further than you had planned, but you could get a bargain by doing so. The better prepared you are on the used car market, the higher chance you have of a successful purchase.

If you are looking to buy a used car this Fall season, it is important to understand the reasons for and impacts of the increasingly high demand for used cars and what the current market looks like. Learn more about the rising demand for Used Cars Sunshine Coast, what that will mean for your search, and how to best navigate the current market.

High Prices of New Vehicles

Many will say the prices of used cars have gone up, and they have, but people are still opting for used vehicles because the cost of new vehicles has increased exponentially. According to Forbes, “high new-vehicle prices are driving some new-vehicle intenders to buy used instead, and that’s contributing to high used-vehicle demand.”

It is worth mentioning that these prices of new vehicles are primarily due to the fact that, in 2020, vehicle production saw a sharp drop due to the pandemic and the resulting chip shortage. This lack of stock of new cars has also driven drivers to shop for used ones instead.

Used Car Demand around the World

With the chip shortage and rising prices of new vehicles happening around the world, this demand for used vehicles is international. Consumer Reports explains that “The global semiconductor shortage continues to squeeze the supply of microchips used to manufacture everything from cars to robotic vacuum cleaners.” To put it lightly, this has caused various challenges within the auto industry.

The Impacts of the Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly been a driver of the increase in demand for used cars. During the pandemic, people were driving less, had less need for used cars, and had more time to buy, sell, and collect used cars amid market fluctuations. This may also be due to fewer auctions taking place due to health measures in place at the time.

As mentioned, the pandemic has also caused a shortage of new vehicles, driving up demand for used cars.

How to Deal

With high used car prices and equally high demand, the question most are asking is how to overcome these challenges. High prices and high demand mean it’s more important than ever to leverage online car-trading platforms and choose the best possible used-car dealership that can ensure loyalty, transparency, and effective pricing.

With the used-car market the way it is, this is also a good opportunity to sell or trade if you have a desirable vehicle. The good news is that right now, any vehicle is desirable. Leverage the market to earn a profit to put towards your car-buying efforts. The chances are that your car will never be as valuable again as it is today. Use the market to your advantage and connect with a car dealership you can trust to help you navigate the challenges it presents.

RACE #35 – MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY
Chevrolet drivers Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott sit 1-2 in NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Playoffs points heading into the crucial Xfinity 500 on Sunday, October 31, at Martinsville Speedway. The penultimate race of the 2021 season on the .526-mile paperclip will determine the four drivers who will compete for the championship title at Phoenix Raceway. Larson, driving the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE, will start on the pole for the 12th time this season. Reigning NCS Champion, Elliott, will join him on the front row in the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Camaro ZL1 1LE to help lead the field to the green in the 500-lap Playoff elimination race.

Larson is two-for-two in the Round of 8 after driving his Camaro ZL1 1LE to victory lane at Texas Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway, clinching his spot in the Championship 4. Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott enters into the Round of 8 elimination race second in the standings and 34 points above the cutline. A victory in the 263-mile race, in addition to multiple finishing order scenarios, will send Elliott to his second consecutive Championship 4 to battle for a back-to-back title.

At Kansas Speedway, Larson became the third driver to win three consecutive races in the NASCAR Cup Series competition. Larson, who leads all drivers with nine wins this season, also won three points-paying races in a row between May 30 and June 20. This feat was last accomplished in 1987 by seven-time champion Dale Earnhardt.

Chevrolet leads all manufacturers with 57 victories at Martinsville Speedway, including 25 by Hendrick Motorsports – Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson each with nine; Darrell Waltrip with four; and Geoff Bodine, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Chase Elliott each with one. Six of Johnson’s wins at the racetrack came in the Playoffs.

Team Chevy has recorded manufacturer highs of 17 victories, 147 top-10 finishes, 4,045 laps led and 31 stage wins through 34 races in NASCAR’s premier series. CHEVROLET CONTINUES ‘MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER’ AT MARTINSVILLE

To also help raise awareness, a specially-themed pink “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will serve as the pace car for the 500-lap/263-mile NCS race at Martinsville Speedway as the third and final race of this year’s campaign.

QUOTABLE QUOTES
KYLE LARSON, NO. 5 HENDRICKCARS.COM CAMARO ZL1 1LE – 1st IN STANDINGS
LARSON ON APRIL RACE AT MARTINSVILLE:
“Martinsville has been a really tough track for me in the past. Earlier this year, we were really good there in Hendrick (Motorsports) equipment and I was able to run top five. That run helped my confidence a lot. I think if we can go there and have another good run and, heck, if we can get a win there, yes – I’ll be feeling great going to Phoenix.”

CLIFF DANIELS, CREW CHIEF, NO. 5 HENDRICKCARS.COM CAMARO ZL1 1LE
DANIELS ON SOMETHING TO PROVE AT MARTINSVILLE:
“We definitely want to have a good run this weekend in Martinsville. We have had that one circled for a while because we, as a team, feel like we have something to prove. Hopefully, we can do that. Martinsville is an amazing track for the (No.) 9 team. So, I would imagine they’re going to be the favorite to win Martinsville, and hopefully both teams can go into Phoenix with some good momentum.”

CHASE ELLIOTT, NO. 9 NAPA AUTO PARTS CAMARO ZL1 1LE – 2nd IN STANDINGS
“I don’t know if it allows you to do much of anything now. After what we saw in Kansas, I am not really sure that any amount of points is safe. I really think anyone in this round can win this weekend. So, we are really going to have to be on it, but I’m looking forward to the opportunity and excited for the challenge.”

WILLIAM BYRON, NO. 24 LIBERTY UNIVERSITY CAMARO ZL1 1LE – 11th IN STANDINGS
BYRON ON THE CHALLENGES OF RACING AT MARTINSVILLE:
“I look forward to going to Martinsville this weekend. Ever since the second half of the 2019 season, I’ve looked forward to racing there even more. I feel like I’ve really found a good balance when going there now. It’s a fun track but it is always a challenge to race at, no matter how many times you have. You want to make the best lap times every lap because it’s so easy to get behind early and even harder to make up lost time. At the same time, you have to manage your brakes so they last the whole race. 500 laps around Martinsville are always tough. It’s about surviving and being there at the end.”

RUDY FUGLE, CREW CHIEF, NO. 24 LIBERTY UNIVERSITY CAMARO ZL1 1LE
FUGLE ON KEEPING MOMENTUM THROUGH THE END OF THE SEASON:
“We may not be in the playoffs anymore but I think the (No.) 24 team is still making a statement each and every week. That’s what we want to accomplish. We aren’t letting off the gas or waiting around for next season to start. Preparation for next season has already begun and we don’t want to lose the momentum that we have worked so hard to gain. I think this weekend at Martinsville will be another weekend where we can show how much we have elevated this team throughout the season. When we went there in the spring we had a good, solid race overall. This time, we’re looking to improve on that. William has really hit his stride at Martinsville the last couple years, and we have such great notes already from our teammates. This is a long, grueling race but as long as we take care of our car, we will have a shot at a win in the end. I’m confident in that.”

ALEX BOWMAN, NO. 48 ALLY CAMARO ZL1 1LE – 14th IN STANDINGS
“I’m looking forward to Martinsville. We were actually really strong there in the spring (but) didn’t get to show it. We had a loose wheel and had to pit under green and then they all crashed on the next restart – we got run over like we did in Texas. I think we had a car capable of winning. We went to Richmond the week after that and won. I think our short track stuff is pretty solid right now, and I’m looking forward to getting there.”

AUSTIN DILLON, NO. 3 RICHARD CHILDRESS RACING CAMARO ZL1 1LE – 17th IN STANDINGS
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT SHORT TRACKS LIKE MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY?
“I really like Martinsville Speedway. It is one of those places where you go through so many emotions during the course the race. Someone might bump you and that give-and-take can get frustrating. It’s a short little paper clip, with hard-braking corners. We’ve had some solid runs there, and I think that we can go back and do it again. We’d love to have a good run at Martinsville Speedway.”

DANIEL SUAREZ, NO. 99 GOOD SAM CAMARO ZL1 1LE – 24th IN STANDINGS
WHAT MAKES MARTINSVILLE SPECIAL?
“I love going to Martinsville. It’s just a different atmosphere and they have things so unique to them – the trophy, the style of track, etc. It’s one of those tracks that you have to go slow in order to make yourself fast. You have to back up the corner and go slow going into it, then you really get your speed coming off of it to pass people. There’s a lot of beating and banging between all of us on the track and it’s something really fun to watch for the fans.”

TELL US ABOUT THE HELMET?
“It’s Halloween this weekend and I’m also celebrating the Dia de los Muertos holiday, which is very special to my Mexican culture. The helmet has been popular the last few years so it’s a good weekend to bring it back.”

WHAT WAS FILIMING WITH JAY LENO LIKE?
“It was so much fun to fly out to California and film with him. He was really great and he loves cars. There aren’t many people who know more about cars than Jay.”

ERIK JONES, NO. 43 GOODY’S COOL ORANGE CAMARO ZL1 1LE – 25th IN STANDINGS
AS A DRIVER, WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO RACING AT MARTINSVILLE?
“Martinsville (Speedway) has been a tough track for me. I don’t deny that has been a tough track. I think the approach to Martinsville is honestly, you think you need to go there and be really aggressive and really drive the car hard. But it’s kind of the total opposite. You really have to slow everything down and back everything up. It’s almost like a road course a little bit, even though it’s an oval, the way you kind of approach and drive it.”

“I feel like the last few times we’ve been there, I’ve started to figure some stuff out and improve there as a driver. But Martinsville is just a tough track. It’s one groove on the bottom. It’s tough to setup the passes. You need your car to do a lot of different things to be good there, but it’s a tough place. You feel like you have to be aggressive, but really slowing everything down is a lot of times the key.”

COREY LAJOIE, NO. 7 ARK.io CAMARO ZL1 1LE – 29th IN STANDINGS
“Can’t wait to get to Martinsville this Sunday with our Ark.io Chevy Camaro. That place has turned into my favorite one on the schedule because I’ve ran so well there the last several times. The spring race was arguably our strongest run of the season, which unfortunately ended with an incident on pit lane. I love the afternoon race time because everyone struggles to find grip, and you’re working all day long. It’s a grueling 500 laps, so I hope our Camaro runs as fast as Ark’s transactions.”

Monster Energy Racing: Riley Herbst Martinsville NXS Advance

RILEY HERBST
Martinsville NASCAR Xfinity Series Advance
No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing

NASCAR Xfinity Series Overview
• Event: Martinsville 250 (Round 32 of 33)
• Date: Saturday, Oct. 30
• Location: Martinsville (Va.) Speedway
• Layout: .526-mile oval
• Time/TV/Radio: 6 p.m. EDT on NBCSN/MRN/SiriusXM NASCAR Radio

Riley Herbst Notes of Interest

• Riley Herbst enters Saturday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway on a short-track attack. The driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing rolls into the .526-mile oval with top-five results in the series’ last two short-track races. He finished fifth Sept. 11 at the .75-mile Richmond (Va.) Raceway and third Sept. 17 at the .533-mile Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway. Martinsville marks the fourth and final short-track race of the 2021 season.

• Martinsville will serve as a milestone for Herbst. Saturday night’s race will be the Las Vegas-native’s 75th career Xfinity Series start. Herbst will be in his familiar Monster Energy colors while racing under the lights on the flat and fast .526-mile oval. Eleven of Herbst’s 74 career Xfinity Series starts have come on short tracks. He has collected seven top-10s on short tracks, with his best result being his most recent – third Sept. 17 at Bristol.

• Herbst has made just two Xfinity Series starts at Martinsville. He finished sixth in his debut at the track last October, but then endured a 29th-place finish in his return to Martinsville this past April when a cut left-rear tire after contact with another car forced Herbst to make an unscheduled pit stop. Instead of running among the top-five like he had to start the final stage, Herbst went three laps down with only 86 laps remaining in the race.

• When the Xfinity Series raced at Martinsville last October, it marked the division’s first visit to the track in 13 years. Prior to its return, the last Xfinity Series race at Martinsville took place on July 22, 2006. Kevin Harvick defeated Clint Bowyer by .271 of a second. Herbst was 7 years old. Today, a 22-year-old Herbst races for the same team as Harvick.

• While a championship isn’t in the cards for Herbst this year, there’s still a points battle to be fought. Herbst protected his 11th-place point standing with a 13th-place drive last Saturday at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City. Herbst wants to increase his 14-point margin over 12th-place Jeremy Clements while cutting into the 38-point advantage 10th-place Myatt Snider currently holds over him. Herbst has already proven his ability to make up a large swath of points in a relatively short period of time. Between the July 17 race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon and the Sept. 17 race at Bristol, Herbst erased a 54-point deficit to not only climb back into the top-12, but secure a 100-point margin over the top-12 playoff cutline.

Riley Herbst, Driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang

You’ve made 11 career Xfinity Series starts on short tracks and finished among the top-10 in seven of those races, one of which came at Martinsville last October. What is your outlook for Saturday night’s race at Martinsville?

“Our finishes at short tracks this season have been trending upward, for sure. We finished third at Bristol and would’ve had a shot at the win if we had another lap. Richmond was another one where we were there at the end and probably could’ve gotten up there to compete for the win if we had another couple of laps. I’m ready to see what we can do this weekend at Martinsville.”

Talk about your history at Martinsville.

“Martinsville is a tough track. I had a good run last year with a top-10, but then when I came back in the spring, we were running well before a spin took us out of contention. The situation can change fast at Martinsville, so it can be difficult to plan anything. Hopefully, we can keep our Monster Energy Ford Mustang out of trouble and be there at the end Saturday.”

With only two races remaining this season, what have you learned that you’ll carry into next year with the No. 98 Monster Energy team?

“Honestly, we’ve learned a lot since Daytona. I’m proud of how much this Monster Energy team has grown since our first race. We’ve come a long way from that brand new driver-team combo when the season started in February. We’ve been able to do a lot with the cards that have been dealt. The good news is that we’ve got another season together to continue to improve. Big things are coming for us.”

TYLER REDDICK QUOTE:
What are your thoughts heading into 500 laps at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday?
“It’s really unfortunate that we had a bad finish at Kansas for a number of reasons, but the biggest being pit selection for Martinsville. Pit road there is pure chaos and it’s so easy to be boxed in which will cost you significant track position. The guys that we are racing against to get the win are all playoff guys, who will have the eight best pit stalls. Our Childress Vineyards team has our work cut out for us, but you never know what may happen – with some one in front of or behind you on pit road having issues. We tried something a little different braking wise at Martinsville in the spring before we found the package that we have learned to love at road courses and short tracks, so I know we will be better there. Our team has also made gains since the first race earlier this season, so I’m looking forward to seeing what we bring to the table on Sunday.”

Myatt Snider and the No. 2 TaxSlayer Chevrolet Camaro at Martinsville Speedway… Snider has two career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Martinsville Speedway, both behind the wheel of a Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet. The Charlotte, N.C. native has also competed in three NASCAR Truck Series race at the paperclip half-mile, earning a third-place result in the 2018 fall race and a pair of sixth-place efforts in the 2018 and 2019 spring races respectively.

About TaxSlayer… TaxSlayer makes online tax filing accessible for millions of Americans, with an easy-to-use platform and unlimited support at a fraction of the cost of the competition. MYATT SNIDER QUOTE:
Martinsville Speedway is one of your favorite tracks. What are you looking for on Saturday?
“Hopefully, there is no rain in the forecast and the race can stay at night. Earlier this year, our TaxSlayer Camaro showed a ton of speed in the race at night, but once the rain came and we were postponed to the next day, our car wasn’t the same in the sunshine. Our team has learned a lot of lessons since that race, so I’m looking forward to getting on track. Our No. 2 Chevrolet will be well prepared heading into the race and that should set us up in a solid position right from the green flag. I personally have been chasing after the clock since 2013 and hopefully this is the year that I can pull it off. It would mean a lot to win at Martinsville.”
