Joey Logano emerged from a classic late-race battle where three-wide racing was the white-knuckle norm, to win the 57th DAYTONA 500 on Sunday at Daytona International Speedway.

Greg Biffle drove his No. 16 Ortho Ford Fusion to a 10th-place finish in the 57th running of the Daytona 500. Biffle started the Daytona 500 eighth and for a majority of the race was a factor inside the top 10. The race ended in a green-white-checkered finish and with his Roush Fenway teammate in tow the duo had hopes of making it to the front. Biffle avoided the last-lap accident that took out his teammate, and with no drafting help still held on for a 10th-place finish.
On the final green-white-checkered attempt of the 57th running of the Daytona 500, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. lined up in the 14th position behind teammate Greg Biffle but on the final lap contact was made between the No. 3 and No. 24 machines collecting Stenhouse forcing him to take the checkered flag in the 29th position.
Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion, was battling three-wide in the closing stages of the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway when he sustained damage in a last-lap incident that ultimately led to him taking the checkered flag in the 30th position.
Defending series champion Kevin Harvick, driver of the No. 4 Budweiser/Jimmy John’s Chevrolet SS, finished in second place to lead six Team Chevy drivers in the top 10 in the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday. Dale Earnhardt Jr. (No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet SS), the defending race champion, was third. The race ended under caution.

Denny Hamlin (fourth) was the highest-finishing Toyota in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) season-opening Daytona 500 at the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway.
KYLE LARSON, NO. 42 TARGET CHEVROLET SS – FINISHED 34TH - ON THE DAY - “It was a pretty eventful race. I spent the first 80 or so laps, just riding. And then we came down pit for green flag stops. My shifter had broken; and I couldn’t find my shifter and just got confused on pit road and missed my pit box and then sped leaving; so we got down a lap."
Recently crowned and seven-time ASCS (American Sprint Car Series) champion, Sam Hafertepe Jr broke the news on Wednesday afternoon that he will be joining a new team for the 2027 Sprint Car season.
