NASCAR Cup Series

Heading into Sunday nights Coca-Cola 600, Bliss will be making his 176th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start. The Milwaukie, OR native will be making only his fifth appearance in the renowned NASCAR endurance race. Bliss's last Coca-Cola 600 came back in 2011 where he finished 30th. Bliss has visited victory lane at Charlotte Motor Speedway twice in his NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) career, with the most recent being the spring 2009 event.

Reed has three starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS). His first start came in the October 2013 event at the track, where he recorded a 14th-place finish after starting 16th. His two starts at the track in 2014 earned him 14th- and 15th-place finishes in the spring and fall events, respectively.

This weekend is not only special because the Sprint Cup Series races their longest race of the season, but also, all of the series' teams will be honoring fallen servicemen. Aric Almirola and team will have the privilege to carry fallen Special Tactics Airmen Capt. Derek M. Argel on the No. 43 Air Force Ford.

This weekend, Dakoda Armstrong will compete in NASCAR's backyard at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The team showed great strength at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS), a track that shares similar traits and setups. The No. 43 WinField team will open up the notebook from TMS to build a fast setup for this weekend. Currently, Armstrong sits 16th in the XFINITY Series Championship Point Standings.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will remain at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend for the annual Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday evening. Ford has won the circuit’s longest race a total of 12 times with Fred Lorenzen and Jeff Burton being the only multiple winners among that group.

All-Star Triumph: Denny Hamlin was victorious in Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, catapulting from sixth to first during a mandatory round of pit stops before the final 10-lap segment, and holding off reigning Cup champion Kevin Harvick en route to Victory Lane.

Richard Childress Racing's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series history at Charlotte Motor Speedway ... In 145 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Richard Childress Racing teams have earned seven points-paying victories (four wins with Dale Earnhardt, one with Jeff Burton and two with Kevin Harvick) and four All-Star race victories (three with Earnhardt and one with Harvick), giving RCR 11 total Sprint Cup Series checkered flags at the Concord, N.C.-based track. RCR boasts 21 top-five and 45 top-10 finishes at the 1.5-mile track. Childress, a former driver on NASCAR's senior circuit, contributed two of those top-10 finishes in 1978 and 1979. The Welcome, N.C. organization has led a combined 1,148 laps at the Charlotte facility.

The Sprint Cup entries of Front Row Motorsports will be pay tribute to fallen military members close to team members' hearts during the Coca-Cola 600 Sunday. As part of NASCAR's "600 Miles of Remembrance," the Ford Fusions of Brett Moffitt, Cole Whitt and David Gilliland will feature windshield name decals memorializing two Front Row team family members who died serving their country as well as "The Unknown Soldier."

American Diabetes Association Youth Ambassador Jordan Rice will ride along with Roush Fenway Racing driver Ryan Reed during Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Charlotte native will have her name featured on a decal above the passenger-side door on the No. 16 Lilly Diabetes American Diabetes Association Ford Mustang.

After a highly-successful Catwalk for a Cause event that raised more than $250,000 for the Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte and pediatric cancer research, the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation (MTJF) continues its creative ways to raise funding for children stricken with cancer.
