Team Penske announced today that it has partnered with Avaya as a team sponsor for the 2015 season in both the Verizon IndyCar Series and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Simon Pagenaud will pilot the No. 22 Avaya Team Penske Dallara/Chevrolet for at least four Verizon IndyCar Series events in his first season with Team Penske, including the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 24. Avaya will also adorn the side of the No. 2 Ford Fusion driven by Brad Keselowski in the Sprint Cup Series event at Kansas Speedway on Saturday, May 9.

When the Viva Motorsports crew unloads the No. 55 Chevrolet Camaro at Talladega Superspeedway for this weekend’s Winn-Dixie 300, it will feature a shiny new paint scheme. FW1 Waterless Wash & Wax will be featured on the racecar for the first time this season.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the XFINITY Series head to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend. The Camping World Truck Series is off but will return May 8 at Kansas.

Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants will take over Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., for the SpongeBob SquarePants 400 weekend, May 8-9. The world’s most famous sponge and his Bikini Bottom friends will take an adventurous ride on the cars of four NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers, all vying to win the coveted SpongeBob SquarePants 400 trophy.

With sunny “picture perfect” skies in the forecast for this weekend’s GEICO 500 and Winn-Dixie 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, track officials are expecting incredibly large crowds to witness the preeminent events at NASCAR’s Most Competitive track.

Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Talladega Superspeedway is a sweet one for Charlie Brock, not only because Bit-O-Honey again graces the hood of the No. 60 Ford Mustang, but Brock shares family ties to the 2.66-mile Superspeedway.

Talladega Superspeedway is known as a track where anyone can win. It is often more about survival than finesse and it’s had it share of underdogs in the winner’s circle.

Everyone is excited about Talladega. Well, everyone but me. Put me in the David Poole camp that basically believes that there is no racing going on there, only holding on and hoping for the best.

“It's no secret that attention spans, especially with the millennial fans, are changing,” or so says NASCAR boss Brian France. Hard to argue with that, but it basically states that today’s fans are idiots who need the keys jangled before their faces much like one does with a bored infant.
