The 2020 Truck Series champion from Alpine, California, trails the top-12 cutline to make the 2022 Xfinity Playoffs by 13 points entering the regular-season finale.

NASCAR travels to Kansas Speedway this Sunday for the second race of the Cup Series Playoffs. The Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series will join them for a full weekend of racing.

The 30-year-old Burton from Halifax, Virginia, is scheduled to achieve a milestone start in his second full-time season in the Xfinity circuit.

The 33-year-old Cassill from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is set to achieve a milestone start in his first full-time season at Kaulig Racing.

Tuesday evening, NASCAR announced that Jeremy Clements Racing was issued an L2 penalty following Friday’s Xfinity Series win at Daytona International Speedway following a post-race inspection. As a result, Clement’s victory will not advance him to the Playoffs.

The 37-year-old native from Spartanburg, South Carolina, led the final three of 118 over-scheduled laps en route to his second Xfinity Series career victory at Daytona.
