NASCAR O'Reilly Series

Three NASCAR Nationwide Series teams have been penalized as a result of rules violations committed at the recently completed event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Taking the green from the 30th position, Eric McClure not only battled a loose-handling car throughout most of the event, but also suffered from a speeding violation on pit road to finish the Boyd Gaming 300 in the 27th position. With this finish, the team advanced one spot to 25th in the 2014 owner standings.

NASCAR announced a modification in qualifying for all of its national series yesterday in which teams will now be able to have one cool down unit hooked up to their vehicle through the left or right side hood flap/cowl flap.

Saturday’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) marks the second NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at the track for Roush Fenway Racing’s (RFR) Ryan Reed. In his other start at the .53-mile oval in the fall of 2013, Reed started 27th and finished 26th.

NASCAR notified teams this afternoon in all three national series that they have made some modifications to the knock-out qualifying procedure.

Making his 20th Nationwide Series start at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend, Mike Bliss and the No. 19 TriStar Motorsports Camry are looking for their first top-10 finish of the 2014 season.

Up and coming NASCAR Nationwide Series driver, Kelly Admiraal, has officially announced the signing of Swan Rentals as Primary Sponsorship for a partial NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule for 2014.

Now just a piece of dust to his big win on Sunday, Brad Keselowski also found himself victorious in Saturday's Nationwide Series Sam Boyd 300. For Keselowski, getting the win this year felt like redemption after the last couple of years. In his last two starts at Las Vegas prior to the win, he had come close - thought ended up finishing 23rd and 27th.
