When the green flag flies for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) on Sunday, it will mark the 200th start for the Toyota Camry in NSCS competition. Since entering the series in 2007, Camry drivers have combined to capture 44 wins, 196 top-five results, 370 top-10 finishes and 38 pole positions in six seasons at NASCAR's highest level.

Turner Motorsports announced today that Nelson Piquet Jr. will return to the cockpit of the No. 30 Turner Motorsports Chevrolet Impala at the upcoming NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) event at Bristol Motor Speedway. This will be Piquet Jr.'s second NNS start of 2012, and the fourth of his career.

Turner Motorsports will field the No. 30 Chevrolet with driver Alex Tagliani for the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal on August 18, 2012.

Super Weekend 2012 seemed like the perfect idea. We would see Nationwide cars accompany the Sprint Cup cars at Indianapolis along with the Rolex Sports car Series in the same weekend. All of the different series racing on the same weekend and at the same track would bring some problems but we didn’t think it would create as many issues as it has.

When the No. 01 G&K Services Chevrolet of JD Motorsports w/ Gary Keller takes the historic green flag as part of the NASCAR Nationwide Series first appearance at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, Mike Wallace will be making a mini-milestone start of his own.

No. 99 Boost Mobile driver Travis Pastrana knew embarking on a NASCAR career would be tough. Not long after beginning a Nationwide and K&N schedule, he surrounded himself with people who could make his transition from X Games superstar and rally driver to NASCAR driver a bit easier.

“It would be huge to win the inaugural Nationwide race at Indy. Indianapolis Motor Speedway is such an historical piece in racing’s history. It would be an honor to win there. I’ve never made any laps at the track but we have four hours of practice on Thursday so hopefully I can get a good feel for it."

This weekend will mark the first time that the NASCAR Nationwide Series has ran on the most famous race track in the world. Jason Bowles and his American Majority No. 81 Toyota team will head north to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the inaugural race for the series on the legendary 2.5 mile oval.

With the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series taking their final weekend off of the season, there was a major opportunity for the Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series to rise, shine and take over the sport's center stage at the Chicagoland Speedway last weekend.
