Banner Day for Borchetta on Streets of Nashville

Scott Borchetta Drives M1 Racecars-Built TA2 Machine to Podium Finish on Home Turf in Big Machine Music City Grand Prix

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (Aug. 12, 2022) – In his 28th race since joining the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli in 2020, Scott Borchetta earned his first podium finish. His third-place run couldn’t have come at a better time or place – last Saturday’s TA2-class race that was part of the second annual Big Machine Music City Grand Prix weekend on the streets of downtown Nashville, Tennessee, headlined by the NTT IndyCar Series main event on Sunday.

Borchetta, a Southern California native who has called the Nashville area home since he was a teenager, outdueled all but two drivers in the 40-car field in his M1 Racecars-built No. 48 Big Machine Vodka SPIKED Coolers entry. Earlier in the day, he posted his best qualifying effort to roll off third for the 75-minute race on the 2.17-mile, 11-turn street course.

The TA2 race, presented by Big Machine Vodka SPIKED Coolers and Race for RP (Relapsing Polychondritis), will air on the CBS Sports Network at 7:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday, Aug. 13 with an encore broadcast at 1 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14.

Borchetta, founder of the Big Machine Label Group and owner of Big Machine Distilleries, has been a key component in making the Music City Grand Prix a reality. His racing career began in earnest at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in the 1990s and he gradually rose to the ranks of the NASCAR SuperTruck Weekly Series, where he won three consecutive championships from 2003 to 2005. After the 2005 season, Borchetta didn’t expect to race again as his every waking moment was being put toward building Big Machine Records.

Enter NASCAR Hall of Famer Ray Evernham. In 2018, Evernham convinced Borchetta to go racing in the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) and it reignited Borchetta’s love for racing. Now, Borchetta is the reigning SVRA national champion and Group 6 title winner. He has won the season-ending Group 6 championship race at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin four years running, which led to Borchetta competing in TA2.

“It’s taken a minute, but we finally made it to the TA2 podium,” said Borchetta, whose third-place finish in Nashville eclipsed his previous best effort of fourth, earned in July 2021 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. “This is such a great event and I couldn’t be happier about getting my first podium here and now.

“We’ve got three races left this season and all of our team’s combined focus will be going toward trying to get that first win. We’ve shown consistency this season and I have to credit my amazing Scott Borchetta Racing Team and, of course, the Lagasses (Scott and Scott Jr.) at TeamSLR with their great M1 Racecars. Everybody has been working so hard and the results are really starting to show.

“It’s really an accomplishment to reach the podium in this series, which is loaded with some of the best sports-car drivers and teams in racing. You have teenagers winning races who will go on to be the future stars of our sport racing alongside seasoned champions. I have to say it’s an honor for me, the elder statesman, to be up here racing competitively with these young racers.”

TeamSLR is the exclusive representative of M1 Racecars, an official TA2 constructor. It builds rolling chassis and complete Chevrolet Camaros, Ford Mustangs and Dodge Challengers for Trans Am competition.

Why Do You Need the Best Waterproof Motorcycle Cover for Your Bike?

What is a waterproof motorcycle cover?

A waterproof motorcycle cover is a must-have accessory for any motorcycle owner. This simple piece of equipment can protect your bike from the elements, keeping it clean and dry no matter what the weather is like.

Motorcycle covers are an excellent accessory that every motorcycle owner should have. They allow you to protect your motorcycle from the elements and from vandalism, but they also enhance the overall look of your bike, which makes them great at protecting your bike from thieves as well! But how do you choose the right cover? This article will explain everything you need to know about waterproof motorcycle covers.

What are the main features of these motorcycle covers?

A waterproof motorcycle cover is a great way to keep your bike protected from the elements. These covers are made from a variety of materials, including PVC, polyester, and nylon. They typically have a UV-resistant coating to protect your bike from the sun’s harmful rays. Waterproof motorcycle covers are available in a variety of sizes to fit most bikes. Some features to look for in a cover include grommets for tying down the cover, reflective stripes for safety, and vents to prevent condensation.

Does your bike need an ultra-waterproof motorcycle cover?

A motorcycle cover is an important accessory for any bike, but especially so if you live in an area with a lot of rainfall. The cover will protect your bike from the elements and keep it looking new for years to come. There are many different types of covers on the market, but if you’re looking for the best protection possible, you’ll want an ultra-waterproof cover. Here’s what you need to know about this type of cover.

How do you select the right motorcycle cover for your bike?

When it comes to selecting a motorcycle cover, there are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind.

  1. Consider the climate you live in and the weather conditions you typically ride in. If you live in an area with a lot of precipitation, you’ll want a cover that can stand up to rain and snow.
  1. Think about the size and style of your bike. You’ll want a cover that’s large enough to fit over your entire motorcycle, including any attached accessories. And finally, consider your budget. There are a variety of covers available at different price points, so select the one that fits your needs and budget best.

Why would you recommend a 420D waterproof motorcycle cover?

420D waterproof motorcycle cover is a great choice for anyone looking for a waterproof cover for their motorcycle. It’s made from high-quality materials that will keep your bike dry and protected from the elements. Plus, it’s easy to use and comes with a storage bag for easy transport. I would definitely recommend this cover to anyone in the market for one.

You already know that your motorcycle needs to be covered when it’s parked outside, but you may not know why. Here are five reasons why you need the best motorcycle cover for your bike to protect it from the elements, keep it shiny and clean, and prolong its lifespan.

1) It keeps you safe

No matter how careful you are, accidents can happen. And when they do, you want to make sure you’re protected. That’s where motorcycle insurance comes in. It can help pay for repairs or replacements if your bike is damaged or stolen. Plus, it can give you peace of mind knowing that you’re covered in case of an accident.

2) Protects your investment

Your motorcycle is a big investment, and you want to do everything you can to protect it. A good motorcycle cover can help protect your bike from the elements, keeping it looking its best, so be sure to protect your pride and joy with a motorcycle cover. A cover can also help deter thieves, as it makes it more difficult for them to access your bike. Plus, a cover can help keep your bike clean, meaning you won’t have to wash it as often. In short, a motorcycle cover is a worthwhile investment that can help you keep your bike in great condition.

3) Keeps dirt and dust off your bike

One of the most important things a motorcycle cover can do is keep your bike clean. It does this by preventing dirt and dust from settling on your bike in the first place. This is especially important if you live in an area with a lot of dust or pollen. Not only will a cover help keep your bike clean, but it will also help prolong its life by preventing wear and tear.

4) Prevents damage from extreme temperatures

Your motorcycle is an investment, and you want to protect that investment from as many risks as possible. One way to do that is by using a cover designed specifically for motorcycles. A good motorcycle cover will protect your bike from damage caused by extreme temperatures, whether it’s hot or cold outside.

5) Protects from theft

If you have a motorcycle, you need to get a cover for it. Here are five reasons why:

1. A cover protects your bike from theft. If you park your motorcycle on the street, it is vulnerable to being stolen. A good cover will deter thieves and make it more difficult for them to steal your bike.

2. A cover protects your bike from the elements. Rain, snow, sleet, and hail can damage your motorcycle. A cover will keep your bike dry and protected from the elements.

3. A cover protects your paint job. The sun can fade your paint job over time. A cover will keep your paint job looking new for longer.

4. A cover protects your saddlebags and other accessories.

Top 5 Reasons Why You Need a Waterproof Motorcycle Cover

Motorcycle covers are made to protect your bike from anything that can cause damage, like rain, snow, or dust. You may be surprised to know that you should get a motorcycle cover, especially if you live in an area where it rains most of the year! Here are some reasons why you should get one today.

1) Protects your motorcycle from Mother Nature

When it comes to your motorcycle, you want to do everything you can to protect it – especially from the elements. That’s why a waterproof motorcycle cover is essential for any rider. Here are the top five reasons why

2) Durable, reliable protection for any weather condition

A waterproof motorcycle cover is an essential piece of gear for any rider, no matter what kind of bike they have. Here are the top five reasons why you need one

3) Resists UV rays

One of the main reasons to get a waterproof motorcycle cover is to protect your bike from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Exposure to UV rays can cause your bike’s paint to fade and can even lead to cracks and other damage. A good quality waterproof cover will resist UV rays, keeping your bike looking new for longer.

4) Fits Any Bike, In Any Weather

A waterproof motorcycle cover will protect your bike from the elements, no matter what the weather is like.

  • If you live in an area with lots of rainfall, a waterproof cover is a must to keep your bike in good condition.
  • A cover will also protect your bike from dirt, dust, and other debris that can damage the finish.
  • Sunlight can also damage your motorcycle, so a cover will help keep it looking new for longer.
  • If you store your bike outdoors, a waterproof cover is the best way to keep it in tip-top shape.

5) Stay worry-free while you’re on the road

If you’re like most motorcycle enthusiasts, you love the feeling of the wind in your hair as you cruise down the open road. But what happens when you have to stop for the night? Or when bad weather hits and you need to take shelter? That’s where a waterproof motorcycle cover comes in handy. Here are the top five reasons why you need one

5 Biggest Mistakes You Can Make When Choosing a Bike Cover

Choosing the right bike cover can be overwhelming, with so many brands and models to choose from that it can be hard to know where to start. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here are five big mistakes you can make when choosing a bike cover and how to avoid them so that you get exactly what you need!

1) Not using a cover

If you don’t use a cover, your bike is vulnerable to the elements. Water can rust and damage your bike, while sun and heat can cause the plastic and rubber components to degrade. Dust and dirt can also accumulate, making it harder to clean and maintain your bike. Plus, if you live in an area with high crime rates, not using a cover leaves your bike at risk of being stolen.

2) Not getting full coverage

You might be tempted to get a bike cover that doesn’t fully cover your bike. After all, it’s just going to be sitting in your garage, so what’s the harm? Well, the reality is that any little bit of exposed metal can start to rust and wear down over time. A full bike cover will give you peace of mind knowing that your bike is fully protected from the elements.

3) Failing to clean it

Your bike cover will be constantly exposed to the elements, so it’s important to choose one that can withstand wear and tear. But even the most durable cover won’t last long if you don’t take care of it. Be sure to clean your cover regularly with soap and water.

4) Buying cheap covers without features you need

If you’re looking to save a few bucks, you might be tempted to buy the cheapest bike cover you can find. However, this could be a mistake if the cover doesn’t have the features you need. For example, if you live in an area with lots of rain or snow, you’ll want a cover that’s waterproof and breathable. Otherwise, your bike could rust or mildew. Similarly, if you live in a hot climate, you’ll want a cover that protects against UV rays. Otherwise, your bike could fade or even become damaged from the sun’s heat.

5) Not caring for it once you have it

You finally have the bike cover of your dreams. But, just like any other item you own, it needs to be cared for if you want it to last.

What Steps Should You Take After a Car Accident in Indianapolis?

After experiencing a car accident, most victims are dizzy and disoriented, according to the information posted about Indianapolis accident statistics at in.gov.cji. In 2020, the number of deaths totaled almost 35,000 among drivers aged 25 to 35. Crashes increased overall despite fewer road miles driven during the height of the Covid-19 shutdowns.

Managing Your Accident Professionally

Despite temporary disorientation, following some rules and steps after an accident is important. Remember that a car accident can generate several permanent consequences, and you must consider them thoroughly. Taking the following steps can protect your rights and maximize the compensation you will eventually receive for your injuries, non-economic losses, or property damages:

Report the Accident

The first step is calling to report the accident, even if the damage seems minor. You, the other driver, passengers, and injured bystanders can receive medical help. The law enforcement officers will interview both parties and any third-party witnesses. They will also examine the conditions surrounding the accident and make a preliminary determination of fault for the accident.

Calling the police is a necessary action for having a police report prepared, which many insurance companies require in their claims processes. Determining the relative percentage of fault for the accident is also critical in Indiana because the at-fault insurance state relies on the information to determine who primarily pays the bill for accident compensation.

Collect Relevant Information About the Accident

If capable of doing so, collect information about the accident as accurately and thoroughly as you can. Get the other driver’s details, including driver’s license information, insurance policy number, vehicle registration, and contact details. Also, note the law enforcement officer’s name, and prepare a summary of your version of what happened.

It’s important to include all the details that you remember. Take down the names of any third-party accident witnesses for possible corroborating testimony.

Seek Medical Checkup and Emergency Treatment

It’s important to schedule a professional checkup with a qualified doctor because adrenaline highs after an accident could disguise pain and discomfort. In addition, internal injuries and muscle injuries often don’t manifest immediately. Likewise, concussions and whiplash symptoms usually don’t appear instantly.

Some of the most common injuries sustained during car accidents include:

  • Concussions or other head injuries
  • Spinal damage like herniated discs
  • Broken ribs or other bones
  • Whiplash and other types of soft tissue damage like sprains
  • Cuts, bruises, and scrapes
  • Possible burns

Hire an Attorney

Hiring an experienced attorney as quickly as possible is highly recommended for dealing with the opposing side. When you get help from a car accident lawyer in Indianapolis, you receive representation on a contingency basis, which means the lawyer wins your case or you don’t pay any fee. In addition, you can get help arranging a medical payment plan and a top-notch investigation of the circumstances of your case.

In an Indiana car accident case, it’s important to try to establish that the other side is responsible for more than 50% of the accident. That’s the only way you can receive compensation in Indiana because the state operates on a comparative at-fault insurance approach.

That means your compensation is limited to the percentage of the other driver’s at-fault determination. If the other driver is held as less than 50% at-fault for the accident, you can receive no compensation.

Filing an Insurance Claim

Filing an insurance claim should occur as quickly as possible after discussing your case with your attorney. You shouldn’t have insurance and lawsuit talks in front of the other driver to prevent them from getting advanced insight into your strategy.

Your insurance company can confirm your policy coverage and arrange for a rental if needed. In addition, your insurance company might recommend options for repairing your vehicle.

Arranging for bills to be sent directly to your insurer streamlines the claims process, but you might face a recalcitrant insurer – especially from the other driver. You don’t have to submit to detailed cross-examination by the other driver’s insurance company. Ideally, those questions will be fielded by your attorney.

To Summarize

You’re in the midst of a car accident. What should you do next? First of all, gather all of the relevant information about the other cars involved in the collision. Obtain contact information of any witnesses, including license plate numbers. Gather all relevant information regarding each car’s insurance and registration status. If possible, take pictures of the damages and gather as much information as possible. Also, get as much information about the accident as possible, including who was at fault. After you receive medical treatment for your injuries, take all your files and information to your attorney and start a claim or lawsuit process to get the compensation you deserve.
