In one of the wildest finishes in recent NASCAR history, Roush Fenway’s Chris Buescher drove his No. 17 Castrol Ford to a 12th-place finish at the inaugural NASCAR Cup road course race at Indianapolis Speedway.

Busch had left-front damage that needed to be repaired by the M&M’S Mix team, putting the chance of a win out of reach. Busch just got what he could over the course of several late cautions and two red flags to bring home a 20th-place finish.

Harvick picked up nine spots over the final two laps to salvage a 14th-place finish.

The 25-year-old Byron, Michigan, native was scored as high as the fourth-place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

AJ Allmendinger fulfilled a lifelong dream of his versatile racing career by standing on Victory Podium as a race winner at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, prevailing in a wild finish to the inaugural Verizon 200 at the Brickyard on Sunday.

Matt DiBenedetto drove a battered No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Mustang to a fifth-place finish in a chaotic Verizon 200 on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was his third top-five finish of the season, his sixth top-10 and his fifth-straight finish of 11th or better.

AJ Allmendinger is no stranger to road course racing. But heading into this weekend’s Verizon 200 at the Brickyard for the NASCAR Cup Series, Allmendinger and his No. 16 Hyperice Camaro ZL1 1LE team were not sure how the cars and the competitors were going to adapt to tackling the Road Course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
