Chris Buescher ran to an 11th-place finish in Saturday’s season finale to bring home the 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Championship. Buescher led the championship point standings for the final 24 races of the season. The championship marked the fifth time a Roush Fenway Racing driver has hoisted the XFINITY Series trophy and the third time in the past five seasons. It also marked Jack Roush’s eighth NASCAR title.

The way the championships worked out in traditional fashion before the Chase was introduced to the Cup series you had to win the races when you can and minimize the points lost on a day when you can’t be your best."

With Kyle Larson’s win in the Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Chevrolet clinched the Bill France Performance Cup in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The 2015 achievement marks the 17th time the Bowtie Brand has captured this prestigious honor.

We fought hard to win this championship and it is interesting when you have the Cup guys drive it a few weeks and then Blaney and Alex Tagliani had a great run for us on the road courses. It is pretty special to take something home this year and that is what we were able to do here at the end of the season.”

In what has already been an impressive first full season in the NASCAR XFINITY Series, Daniel Suárez added another accolade to his resume Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway – the Sunoco Rookie of the Year Award. In doing so, he became the first Mexican-born driver and the second NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D) graduate to receive the award in a NASCAR national series.

Erik Jones was the top-finishing Toyota driver in Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a third-place result.

Chris Buescher, driver of the No. 60 Fastenal Ford Mustang, holds an 18-point lead in the NASCAR XFINITY point standings going into tomorrow’s Ford EcoBoost 300. Buescher held a Q&A session in the Homestead-Miami Speedway media center to talk about his mindset for the weekend.
