The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the XFINITY Series travel to Kansas Speedway this weekend while the Camping World Truck Series is off. All of the on-track action will be broadcast on NBC Sports Live Extra. Please see the full schedule below.

Here's the weekend lineup for the NASCAR weekend at Kansas. The Sprint Cup Series hits the track first on Friday at 1:00 p.m. on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra. The Sprint Cup practice sessions can also be heard on MRN.

Landon Cassill will add to his long worksheet at Kansas Speedway in Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 Xfinity Series race.

Michael Self will return to the cockpit of the Nebraska Transport Company No. 0 Chevrolet for Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway.

Ross Chastain, rolling along with a fine rookie season in the Xfinity Series, will drive the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 4 Chevrolet in Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300.

The National Motorsports Appeals Panel today heard and considered the appeal of a P2 penalty issued on Sept. 23 to J.D. Gibbs (owner) and Chris Gayle (crew chief) relative to NASCAR XFINITY Series vehicle #54 at Chicagoland Speedway.

Roush Fenway Racing returns to “The Wizard of Oz” this weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) prepares to tackle Kansas Speedway for the second time this season. In total, a Roush Fenway Ford has visited victory lane nine times across the three major touring series at Kansas.

CONTENDER ANALYSIS: Following the first ‘Contender 12’ round race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) championship playoff, Camry drivers Denny Hamlin (fourth, -8 points) and Carl Edwards (sixth, -9 points) are within the top-eight that can advance to the ‘Eliminator 8’ round following the Talladega Superspeedway race. Kyle Busch (10th) sustained damage at Charlotte and sits 10 points out of the eighth position headed to Kansas. Matt Kenseth (12th) is 32 points behind after finishing 42nd at Charlotte despite earning the pole position and leading 72 laps (of 334).

For the last time in 2015, Brennan Poole will be behind the wheel of the No. 42 DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro for Saturday afternoon’s 300-mile race at Kansas Speedway. Through 16 starts, Poole has two top-10 and nine top-15 finishes, with an average starting position of 16.6 and an average finishing position of 18.9. Poole started and finished fourth in his one prior at Kansas Speedway, in the ARCA Racing Series in October 2012.

Tuesday morning, Atlanta Motor Speedway announced that the NASCAR traveling circus of the Camping World Truck, XFINITY and Sprint Cup Series will return on the weekend of Feb. 26-28, 2016 following the 58th Daytona 500.
