Aric Almirola elected not to pit with 36 laps remaining and held on to win Friday night's NASCAR Xfinity Series Food City 300 Playoff opener at Bristol Motor Speedway.

This weekend, all three national series travel to Bristol Motor Speedway for a full weekend of racing. The ARCA Menards Series and the Craftsman Truck Series will get the action started on Thursday.

Connor Zilisch won the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway (Gateway) by 1.506 seconds over William Sawalich. It was his ninth win of the season and earned him the Regular Season championship. He dominated the race, leading four times for 121 of 160 laps.
