Kevin Harvick, driver of the No. 4 Busch Light Beer Ford Mustang, enters this weekend’s Round of 8 NASCAR Cup Series opener at Kansas Speedway as the top seed.

It’s the first race in the Round of 8 for all three NASCAR national series as they return to Kansas Speedway this weekend, which will kick off with the championship race for the ARCA Menards Series.

Newman will make his 30th Cup start at Kansas on Sunday. In 29 prior starts, Newman has an average finish of 19.8 with one win, three top fives and seven top-10s.

Clint Bowyer, driver of the No. 14 Rush Truck Centers Ford Mustang, announced last week that he will trade his steering wheel for a microphone and transition to the NASCAR On Fox broadcast booth in 2021.

Kansas is a little different in that you can run the top, which is the preferred groove.

Buescher makes his 10th Cup start at Kansas on Sunday, where he has an average finish of 19.4 with two top-10s. Most recently at the track, Buescher was caught up in an incident this summer finishing 33rd.

Marwin Sports will showcase its livery aboard Spire Motorsports No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE beginning with Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway where veteran Reed Sorenson will handle the driving responsibilities.

All three of NASCAR’s top touring series will compete in their respective Round of 8 playoff openers this weekend at Kansas Speedway.

The stage is now set for the eight drivers still in competition for the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series championship when the series returns to Texas Motor Speedway for the Oct. 25 Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500.
